i've read countless threads that say they are growing badseed, but its from really good pot.

but i was thinkin, how good could this pot be? does nice chronic usually have seeds in the nugs? cuz i've bought tons of the stuff and never gotten 1 seed

so are these people pretty much just growing schwag seeds from plantations in mexico ?:spew::hump:

It is not uncommon to find a seed or three here or there if you are constantly buying good pot. This happens either through genetics or stress to the plants during early flower. A few male flowers can appear on a female plant, from clone or seed.

i doubt its schwag.. all it takes is one male in the bunch to get seeds.. or possibly the bud comes from outside and some rogue pollen came along and pollinated a few buds or plants..
the main reason you don't see many or any seeds in bud nowadays is that most if it is grown indoors and the grower removes any males at first site to avoid getting seeds.. but even then, once in awhile a hermie may come along and pollinate or maybe even a grower may have missed a male and got some seeds..

i only grow bag seed but never from dirt weed, mainly high mids. i always buy by the ounce, sometimes i get 2 seeds, sometimes none and sometimes 25+ seeds. but you're thinking is on the right track, usually really good weed doesnt have any seeds...which would usually make people happy but it pisses me off lol. ive also gotten dirt weed that didnt have any seeds either...

You see my avatar? That was bagseed. Enough said. Not the bombest stuff on the planet..but far from schwag from mexican plantations. Some killer phenos have been found in bagseed. Oh..lets see..I believe the Diesel cuts are actually bagseed from some Chemdawg. Something like that anyway...damn...idk anymore...I'm high.

yeah that all makes a bunch of sense

so even if i was growing some cheap, 25$ a quad, schwag seeds (which i am :) ) they would still turn out to be alot better than the bag i got them from?

if you give them more love and care than the last person than hell yeah it should be better! Especially if it had a lot of seeds. Pants dont produce as much THC when they are seeded, they focus on growing the seeds instead.

So if you kill your males and get no seeds, that alone should make it better quality than what it came from. With the added aforementioned love and care...you should have some decent smoke in the end.

one time i bouthgt a sack of NL that had a bud containing about 30 seeds.
i cannot tell you how fucking stoked i was.
i have also had seeds from some GDP that had hermed out.
one was a male but it was very vigorous.
don't discount bagseed. and don't discount genetics from south of the border.
some of the best weed iv'e ever smoked was grown in puerta vaillarta mexico.
some kind of OG sativa tha had me stoneder than i was getting off any greenbud i was getting in tahoe at the time.

i usually get at LEAST 1 seed from each plant for some reason... heres a good question
say some plant hermied one of yer females say a Lemon haze... and u get like 4 seeds out of it
well isnt it no longer lemon haze? but some mixture of a fucked up hermie and SLH?

just recent grabbed a back of some very decent shit, was a lil fluffy but very sticky and potent... found only 6 beans in an eighth, and only 3 were actually mature, though i was able to get 2 of the immature ones to germinate. my guess is accidental pollination or stress and early harvest. this stuff didnt even seem like it was cured totally, it tasted and smoked better after 2 days in the bag lol

I thought the same as you until a few weeks ago. A friend of mine gave me about a bowl or two of some excellent nuggets and when I was breaking it up I felt a lump. So I broke the bud up more and like buried treasure I found a seed! I been looking for seeds in my nuggets for years and never found one til now. I'm gonna hang on to it until my next grow and try it out. Hopefully it's a lady. :smile:

thing about bagseed, you don't know what other plants were in the growroom that may have pollenated it

you buy some og from the dispensary, go home and find a seed, plant it, it turns out to be half haze or something...so bagseed can be kind of like a mystery

...i have a couple planted right now, curious how the cheese and strawberry cough bagseeds will come out, fun fun =)

The best weed i ever had was just some Mexi bagseed i grew. It all i usualy grow.
Better than any kind buds or hashes ive had in my 25 yrs smoking.
My Mexi bag seed are way healthyer more vigorous plants than my ak48 orNl at 2 monthes lol
An mexican budz are mostly indica here , I got some purple mexi seeds going this year.

I fully expect the mexi senioritas to be more potent an yeild more than the kind buds.
They are my choice for outdoors.
