My First Grow! (The Purps), 150 watt HPS, need walthrough plz...

Ok so basically here is my set up:
Lighting: Right now I am using two 23 watt CFL's, and i will use the HPS later, advice on when to put in the HPS? My light schedule as of now is 18/6.
Soil: Fox Farm Ocean Forest
Nutrients: Big bloom and tiger bloom.
Air: Currently I have a fan that is blowing 1 hour on 1/2 hour off.
Temperature: When the lights are on the temp is mid 70-80 F. When they're off it's 60-70 F.
Humidity: It's 55-65.
Soil pH: My last test was 6.9.
The size of my grow space is 6.5 ft x 6.5 ft x 9 ft. The plant is about 6 inches tall right now and just recently it was under watered so I think that is why the tips of the plant are brown/dead. The plant is a clone that I got about 5 days ago.
So here are some pictures, once again this is my first grow and I'm hella excited, so any comments or advice are welcome.

everythign seems to be there, just neet to make it happen...should use the HPS when you switch 12/12...also how close are you CFLs ?they should be about 6" or so away...

23watt could proly be 3" away n be fine,.. if you want to use the HPS it would be totally fine too, I use my floros to veg because I have 2 rooms but if I only had 1 I would use the HPS all the way through.. But mybe like 2 more CFL would be good right now, but if using the HPS is no problem I say turn that bitch on.... Plants love light

ok thanks, im going to wait a few weeks before i put in the HPS, she just went through lots of stress cause of underwatering, so the CFLs will be fine for now

Not bad. i'm orderin some purps seeds from attitude myself tomorrow. I love this purple plant, its resin,taste,smell is out of this world. I heard its family to the graddy purple and purple erkel. I'm currently growing king's kush and my favorite sour diesel. Which is OG kush and Grape ape mix. Dying to see how your grow goes keep me posted.

everythings look good bro, but honestly your plants look a bit yellow, big bloom and tiger bloom should be used with fox farm grow big. BB TB have real high amounts of P,K and not alot of N. basic plant nutrition calls for a higher amount of N during veg, and more P,K in flowering.

I can't wait to see how this goes! I'm grabbing some Purps from Bc Bud depot, I wanna make my own strain using some traits from it.

ya i know but all i have is those two, and im going to flower in a few weeks if all goes to plan, so it's not such a big deal, how tall do you think the plant should be when i put it into flower?

depending on how big you want the plant is when you should flower....usually MJ grows vegitativly for another week, and get about 2/3 bigger after switching to 12/12, also you want a solid root system befor flowering...and as far as the N def. just put 1/2 cup of FFBB with a gallon of water n youll be straight

1. Are you saying my plant only needs to veg for another week?, (it's 7 inches right now)
2. Should I check to see if I have a solid root system, and what should i look for?

yes, if you only want it to be about 16-18" when it start concitrating it's energy on flowers then go 12/12 soon,

and no, u don't need to check ur roots, but If ur in FFOF soil you already have good enough airation for strong roots, just wait a week after repotting so roots can explore the new pot....

Also note, I somtimes I put plants into flower right After I repot them and it's fine...Also how much your plants grow when swithed 12/12 depends on the strain.... Like sativas will get taller than most indicas....

1/2 cup of BB really wouldnt do that much for the nitrogen cause its only .01 N.

Ya, it's not a veg. Nute, but it would help any(NPK) deficiency....for a while it was all I used in veg. And my month old plants that would be over 12" were fine....don't get me wrong it's better to have GrowBig, results come faster for sure, but it is not dire...also that clone looks to young and in to good of fresh soil To have any def.(FFOF provides nutes for 30 days)....wait it out don't burn your plant(although grow big dosent burn plants very easily)

so here is an update on the plant,
it is growing pretty slowly now 8/12 inches
i fimmed it a week ago and i think it worked, temps are 70-75, humidity 50-60, im watering about once a week, the HPS has been for about a week and a half and the top leaves are loving it, they've grown a lot, but i don't understand why the original leaves from the clone aren't growing and seem to be drooping a little, but all the other leaves are doing fine. pH= 6.5
i have to flower in a week because of timing problems, but it's okay, i'm guessing she will be about 10 inches when she gets put into flower
help/advice welcome

yea man even if u over water her once, it wont kill her. and when i clone, the original leaves that were there from cutting usually die off. im pretty sure the plant jus gives up on them and sucks the energy from em and strides for new growth.
