Looking pretty good. At this point I would start foliar feeding with Formulex. But as I do not know the composition of your grow medium I am not suggesting this at all. I love foliar feeding in veg, and I can only assume mu vegging plants like it too.

Very good econofarmer

did you get any spreading? It didn't look like anything except like a reaction to something localized? hope it is under control for you. cuz otherwise, they look like they are doing really nice. the interior growth looks like its coming along exactly as it should....thanks for the update.

thanx guys, I havent started foliar feeding yet, but I did trim up those yellowing leaves last night and all seems good this morning, so I'll keep my fingers crossed and hope for the best!!

thats what it looked like to me, a foliar feeding under the lights that burnt the leaves.

but that obviously isn't possible, so, sorry. could you have 'spilled' something on them when watering?

that is what happened Im sure,I spilled a little water on the leaves when I was watering the soil, I didn't realize that the light could burn the leaf with water on it. So how do I folier feed then without burning the leaves? Im runnin 24/7 250w (metal halide conversion bulb) yikes, I just sprayed the leaves this afternoon!!!! Hope they're ok!!!

also, a little off topic, when will I notice a signifigant smell coming from the box?? not untill bud time?? I just want to be prepared with my air scrubber.

OK, you can foliar spray/feed during daylight hours. The way I do it is to retract my lighting as high as it will go. For me this will usually be 3-4ft from the tops of my plants. I normally run 2 x 600W, so when I use pest control during the daylight I turn a light off for an hour or two until the moisture on the leaves has gone. The I put the other light back on, then lower it after a little while. It is best to not spray plants during daylight by all costs. But if it has to be done then keeping you light source far from your precious plants can save extreme magnification and burning.

I foliar feed my vegging plants without retracting the 125W envirolight because it emits a much lower intensity than HPS/MH or anything larger that 125W of power.

Hope that was helpful and keep up the good work, it won't be long before most aspects of cultivating your own medicine becomes second nature :)

My vegging plants that have been potted in the veg room for little over 50 days let off a smell. Its a ganji smell, but not of bud and the aroma of a mature lady... kinda a teenage peng if that makes sense.

For me, the real stench commences when the calyx development begins, normally 3-4 weeks in to bloom.

Have to say that is one good thing about the CFL's I can foliar feed anytime and they don't produce enough heat for the burn.

I can also spray with the lights on as they don't 'pop' when they get a little misting.

I foliar feed with B-1 and it seems to be helping, especially the clones.

Take care and good grow!

Any tips on cloning? I do the usual... Cut, Clonex Dip, Root Riot, Propagator. This time around I am not foliar feeding the normal Formulex, due to something I read elsewhere. They have been in for around 7 or 8 days and no sign of root.

These are my first two, so I'm no expert. I did the same, cut, used clonex and then put them into rooting cubes in lil cups with plastic wrap over the top and a heating pad underneath. I try to mist them about 3-4 times per day and then dump the excess water after the last misting. They are doing okay so far, but that's my only experience.

Aight. I did that method on my last 6 cuttings and all 6 took to root after 19 days. I have since grown them up and took 3 more cuttings but would like to get the time down. I too am new to cloning and am wondering if I purchased an aeroponic propagator if I'd be any better off for time constraints.

Thanx HG, I guess I should maybe start using a timer and foiliar feed at night cuz the total hieght of the cabinet is slightly less than four feet so the light is still going to reasonably close to the plants, although I did foiiar feed last night and just moved them so the were kinda off to the side and not directly under the light and they didn't seem to have any noticible burn indications this morning.

Well good, Im not worried about a slight smell, its the smell that stinks up the house and is easily detected when having guests that Im worried about.

Im going to build a carbon filter that I saw on this site using a carbon pre filter and an inline duct fan (and a few other various items of course) and the reviews seem to be pretty good.

thanx for all the info guys!

here's a couple of recent pictures of day 19 from the day I dropped the un girminated seeds into the peat pellets. They don't seem to have any serious burning issues so I'm happy. But on onother note I did loose one more plant that just didn't seem to take off so Im left with 10 out of 12 healthy lil plants. If I can get at lease 5 sweet females out of them, I'll one be happy
farmer!!!
