home depot true 100w cfls $17!

Looking around home depot today and came across these 100w cfl for $17.00 i payed almost $50 for 125w for vegging 6500k you can use with reagular fixture if you get attatchment online like $7. Kicker was i was looking in the light bulb section the biggest i could find was 32w. this bulb is in the outdoor floodlight area. it is full spectrum 6500k. And for flowering they do have true 68W 2700k just took awhile to find i could only find 32w the 68w is next to the halide replacement bulbs.

yes u need an adapter i posted like $7 dollars but very inexpensive i stumbled apon them. i bought mine online and got ripped all good though enjoying every bit of y 1st grow learning learning learning and piecing together as i go along next grow wich is vegging now bubblicious because sounds like a begginer plant will be set up prepared much different flower than i have now. will start a journal.

not that great of a deal... I bought 6 27 watts for $18 including everything needed to operate them...

home depot... i dont even use them.. ive got 3 400 watt HIDs i use so theyre just sitting around in my room..

The bulb in the first post does not have a built in ballast to power the bulb, you are supposed to use it with a fixture that has the ballast
Unless you buy the fixture as well that bulb will not work... been there done that

thats what i thought aswell, i did post that in the thread that he started in the indoor growing section. same here been there tried that lol oh well we live and learn lol

I'm starting a new grow with 3 - 42 watt cfls.. I was gonna get the 65 watt, long cfls but the ones at walmart were broken in the box, lol.. my other grow has 136 watts of cfl, this new one will only have 126..

They are called polarized socket adapters converts a polarized outlet into a lamp socket for a standard, medium-base bulb. They are rated at 125VAC/660W Max made by General Electric part number 54173...

a word of advice to everyone handling these bulbs!!!!**** the contents of the cfls contain mercury & are extremely toxic!!! Take extreme caution not to damage these bulbs or handle broken ones for your own safety! Mercury dust can be readily absorbed through the skin & mucous membranes & may result in all sorts of fun symptoms like memory loss, alzheimers, cancer, & other nasty side effects. *****

i am not saying not to use the bulbs, they are fine to use as long as you dispose of them properly through a disposal center, not in your trash!!!!!! Just be careful in handling them!! Thank you all & god bless your ganja!

But this is still better for global warming? WTF? Another brilliant liberal idea brought to you by the same people who think we should feed our gas tanks with food.
