I would love to see what a poll of this question would reveal.
I have been on numerous threads talking about being busted and about it being passed.
Personally I dont think it should be passed, YET!!!
I just posted this about 3 minutes ago on another thread;
I am pretty certain that we are going to loose control of it if passed in the near future. We need a year or two to go by to let the courts settle down, cities to finish establishing rules (and unfortunately close clubs), create laws for all to obey (not govern says one and state says another and the city says something else), some type of system to monitor weed to avoid distribution illegally, and most of all keep it in the hands of the patients that use and need the medicine. Not the government that needs to recoup from a tremendous downfall in its economy. We will end up helping enormously with pulling the US out of the deficit if we pass it now. I dont mind helping some, charge me tax on my product when I purchase from a club 8.75%. Some clubs state that they are currently, one more time, currently paying upwards of 25-30% in taxes, who really pays for that - us. And if we loose the rest of the control over the situation expect it to increase like cigs and be outrageous as alcohol.
This was a specific response to the post I quoted, the person said they were afraid of people selling heroin and crack and that the weed was "not clean and full of who knows what"...
"Measures also need to be explored and put into place to monitor the concerns you have about additional drugs and the contaminants of the weed. I heard that some 3-5% of weed in clubs has mold - not a lot but still scary. I havent been offered crank yet at the clubs, not sure where you are and if this is a current problem you are facing."
I went into a club about a week ago and next to the sign in sheet they had another clip board that they were taking signatures on as a petition to try and stay open. Appreantly they received a letter from the county or city or something that said there were complaints about them being a public nuisance and were going to be kicked out. I can understand this is true for some of the clubs that are on busy streets with limited parking, but this club is behind a hydro store, next to a auto repair shop, with plenty of parking and no neighborhood in sight. WTF really.
Lets see what the numbers are really like...
Should it be passed now 2010?
Should it never be passed?
Should it be passed in the near future 2012-2014?
