to be honest bro it all depends on how big of a cutting you take but of course a clone is going to be faster....... all it has to do is root. That could take about 5-10days and you vegg for as long as it takes to get to the height you need......

do clones lack yield if i started a seed and clone same time would i see any differences?

i have found that all the plants from seed yeild more then clones...clones once rooted i throw straight to flower...so i dont get much growth besides a lil stretch...but i veg for a month or 2 depends...

clones as soon as they root can be flowered because it is mature already. as far as yield go it all on how long you vegg for and that goes for clones and seeds alike but for a fast yield i would go with a clone.

I've found that clones get less yield but now by to much.
But I prefer growingg from seed, simply for the reason that I might get that one in a million genetics. (a bit of a gambler)

In order for the structures required for flowering our sweet plants to be in place and mature, a plant started from seed must be vegged for a period of time, usually 2-5 weeks indoors. (For the flamers; yes I know it is possible, just not recommended for any kind of yield)
Clones on the other hand, when taken from a mature mother have all these structures in place and mature from the get go.
In my experience if I veg my clones for any, and I do mean any length of time, even a few days they grow much taller, the branches start growing out from the main stem instead of hugging it and filling with bud, and each plant requires more space.
As a consequence the plants are fewer or more crowded and are really a pain in the a$$ to trim and dry. If the plants are very few this may not be an issue, however 15-20 of those trimmed a week will make it a long tedious job.

These plants were started from clones, exactly 66 days from mother cutting to harvest, and placed directly into flowering table. The bud is trimmed while the plant is still in the pot for easy handling and then cut off just below the lowest stem and hung upside down to dry for 5 days so 71 days total from cutting to smoke, like clockwork.
Seeds are a bit iffier, making sure you are flowering females is the toughest part of growing from seed. All that love and attention to a dude ughhhhh.

Gotta also remember that when ya grow a plant from seed, it will not perform as well as a mature clone.
Clones always yield better, and are more full.
After you clone that seeded plant a few times, you will really see a difference.

The flowering chamber is 11.5'L x 3'W x 4.5'T with a row of 4 x 600w HPS in a pair of dual cool tubes and dual 600w electronic ballasts.
There is I think a plant in each of the white pots you see there, only the front two are lit up by the flash. Maybe an empty pot or two I can't remember.
I get consistent strikes in 7 days from cutting but my schedule is 9 days before needing them, I can also hold them for quite a while if needed for any reason.

Clones seem to be the choice i'll go with hopefully be able to keep both strains im using and just clone every few weeks

1. Seeds are superior in yeild and time in my experience 2. Just an observation but it depends where on the mother the clone came from and I believe light schedule has something to do with it... I have taken clones durring 24h of veg about 30 days into things and clones were stable but not as vigerous as seed and never produce the same style cola's... 3. If you take a cutting at any point durring the 12/12 cycle I have found that it fucks the plant up and forces it to start in flower mode and then has to switch back to veg... producing lots of mutations and abnormailities... if the mother hermied... clones probably will too... I have one batch of clones left to go through. These are just my personal observations... I am still very much in the experimental stages with things and might try cloning something again but for now... I am going REG SEED all the way... and work my way into breeding... I have also had mothers that demonstrated strong indica pheno's that produced very sativa dominate clones, twice as tall as the mothers, more stretch and much narrower leaves, So I will say that I think you have to really look at the branch your cloning, as you are only taking the genes from that branch, as I understand it... I am no expert nor claim to be.. just my experience...
