After 5 years since my last grow (Custom stealth grow, Blueberry under T5's), mainly due to not having the facilities i've decided to experiment again, with the onus being on keeping it cheap and not worrying about yield (as long as it pays for the leccy bill!). MY setup is as follows:
Custom converted wardrobe (4 1/2ft High x 2 1/2 ft Wide x 1 1/2 ft Deep)
Custom made lighting rig
5 x 30w Daylight CFL's - Vegging
7 x 23w Warm White CFL's - Flowering (with scope to add more if necessary)
2 x 120mm PC Case Fans, both running extraction
1 x Passive intake, hepa filtered
1 x 6 inch Desk Fan for circulation
1 x custom made carbon filter ($3 DIY job as seen on RIU)
At the moment i've germinated some old bagseed in root riot cubes (trialling them as never used before), but eventually I expect my soil mix to be 1:4 Vermiculite : Seedling compost. I've got hold of some bio-bizz grow and bloom nutes to use as and when.
As for technique I plan to use 'Uncle Bens Topping' method, I figure this will keep the height down and boost yield while helping light dispersal. If height becomes an issue I might LST.
Once i've sussed the kit out using the bagseed i've got some NYC Diesel Fems & some NL x Haze to play around with
And thats about it! Any pointers gladly recieved
