I'm at the end of week 4 of flowering....I really don't wanna chop em. I'll keep an eye on those things. If it turns out they are hermies, do I hafta chop em or can I just snip those parts off? Total noob here....thanks for any and all help

there are 2 different types of hermies in my opinion.

1 - grows clusters of pollen sacks after already showing females pistels

2 - grows the odd male flower (banana) during flowering

if you develope pollen sacks then cut it down.

if you develope bananas here and there leave them alone and remove after harvest. you can keep the bananas for breeding purposes. search this forum for rodeliztion method.(SP)

on your pic it just looks like an ordinary calyx.

some more pics from different angles would help to be certain .

Thanks jon...I'll take more pics and post info this evening ...i just don't have time right now.

Please somebody tell me to calm the hell down, lol....

Calm the hell down. doesn't look like a true hermie. Though a buddy of mine has a strain that seems to pop a seed here and there. Good advice already given... monitor, eyeball that plant(s) and look for 'nanners, you'll know male traits when you see them (like a sac on a very small stem, right where you took this pic). MANY factors can turn a female to herm, so try and keep everything (light, temp, humidity, nutes, soil moisture etc) stable.
Good luck, and don't forget to cut out the nutes long enough for a good flush!

I think I was just freakin out for a sec there....They all just look like normal calyx to me now, but this morning I immediately thought HERMIE!! Having said that, I wouldn't know a pollen sac if it bit me....

Its a pollinated female/hermie as i can tell from the brown shriveling pistils at this early stage.

If the pistils are browning and shriveling up/dying then you have pollination with that plant. The small lower buds usually show brown pistils first in the case of pollination as the pollen falls from the top of the plant on to the lower buds killing the pistils.

Posting a pic would really help.

my favoright quotes from YB so far:

5 gallon pots are far to big unless you are growing 12ft tall plants. The next transplant i would go for is a gallon pot and i stay with that producing a 3-4ft tall plant by the time i am ready to harvest and they are never rootbound after the chop.

That was not ready to transplant (not enough roots) but you pulled of a great job and just give them 7-10 days to recover and start taking off again.

Good luck with the bacteria from the towels

And stop the swearing its against the rules and you can be reported for this behaviour so read the forum rules before you type

and my all time favorite!!!!-Nobody on this site can say or do anything thats going to bother me as i dont take things personally and NEVER let others control my emotions,,, (but in the same post)I am just pissed at the fools talking behind my back.... so which one is it???

........

carefully take advise on RIU.... read subcools breeding journals...
