somebody help me please!!

Okay, so im totaly new to this growing thing. My two plants are a little over 4 weeks old and are a very dark green color. The lower two leaves on them however are not, they're a lime green with white spots and brow tips. i didnt have enough money for expensive lights so they are under 3, 100w fluoroscents about 5-6 inches away from the plants. i water them almost 1 to 2 times a day because the wate seems to dry up very quick. At first i thought i was overwater so i stopped and did it once every other day but then they started to droop so i went back to my normal watering pattern. I use tap water and premium potting soil with some added ferts. the temp is
around 77- 83. i dont know how to stop the discoloring of the leaves and i dont know if tis looks like a healthy plant. i have some pics, please help

Heat stress it looks like on those brown crispy leaves...Does it look like you burnt the edge of a piece of paper? Also, it could very likely be nutrient deficiency. MJ needs her food as do you and me. She has those bottom two leaves when she first starts that is her balanced supply of nutrients for 2 weeks, then after that, it's up to you to baby her. Are you even watering with distilled water or "clean tap water" haha

Good Luck!

**Overwatering is the most likely cause of your droopy, mangled mess I see forming, too! Wait til the thing gets crusty man, or you're going to kill it.

i water in the morning, when i come home later the dirt is dry and the leaes are a little droopy thats why i frequently water. yes they are clay is that bad?! i dont know what the ferts are. where can i get the right ones? overall do they look a little healthy???

From what I can see,
no nute burn, your not over or under watering them, the spots are caused by the chlorine in the water most likely. You need to get some kind of metering equipment for your soil moisture and ph. Also get a meter for your water and eventually nutirent mix. What you feed your plants is a lot in how they grow. If I fed you poop for the next week you'd feel like poop, dig?

I would say keep them as close to the light as you can. Mist often with non salted carbonated water, plants in general love it. Also until you get metering equipment for your fluids and soil, use some RO water purchased at a store. Also you will want to get a ph balancing kit with ph up, ph down and some testing fluid for your fluids as the meter you get will more than likely only tell you the temp and ppm.

Other than that you are doing what your supposed to be doing. Trying, asking questions, and showing that thing lots of love.

yes clay pots are bad as they dry out faster and yes overall they look healthy

the fix is better soil and less watering after you transplant into non-clay pots

Helloooooooo...You can't miss those leaves, bro. Those are clearly being watered WAY too often as they are starting to droop. He's even admitting it! I've never needed to water my plants that much, not even during flowering which is where I leave them in a reservoir 24/7 the last week.

Maybe you both should take a look:

I water with tap water all the time never leave it out and never worry about chlorine, (it is one of the required elements) and have never seen burn like that on any plant I ever grew, so I'm curious why you would say that???

I currently have a plant in a clay pot & you're right, they dry out faster. But not like this man...that's just slowing the plant's growth down is all it's gonna do.

Wait til you come to Asia. I was sick for 2 weeks, bedridden, because I mistakenly used the water for a cup of tea. I assumed boiling was the key

Not to single you out cause several people said it, where do you see "drooping leaves" am I not getting the same 3 pics?

"Mangled Mess"??

His leaves are, well, here, hope you don't mind guitar dude, I'm gonna play with one of your pics.

The tops of the leaves have been enhanced based on direction of the light source, they now appear a darker blueish green.
The underneath are the opposite becoming a lighter green with bright green/yellow stems/veins.
And all the inter nodes should be contrasted to see them clearly against the background.

His leaves stems are pointing in an upward angle meaning the can support themselves easily. The leaves show no sign of discoloration other than the 1st set of leaves which do that regardless about 90% of the time. All of the leaves are thick. They have rounded tips, looking like a kush variety. I think they look fine, but what do I know?

your also in Colorado much better water source than say Tucson. Give me 5 and I'll show you. Our tap water is a super high ppm and tons-o-chlorine and I mean you can see it in the water when you run it full force, it comes out milky white and then "fizz's" to a clear color.

And to clarify I am looking at the angle of the stem from the main shoot to the tip of the leaf, draw a line with your finger on the screen and tell me the line goes south anywhere other than his first leaf set.

guess I should be thankful for rockymountain snow then huh LOL

I do realize that water everywhere is not the same but have still never seen that kind of damage from chlorine (and I have grown in other states)

At the top, it looks like it's getting too much watering and the leaves are starting to droop in. It's about like a mite infestation. Once you notice it, it's no time at all before you've got a problem. The leaves are the rubbery feel. I can't honestly explain it in words, ya just can tell. They are starting to extra weight and it's not colas. And wtf is going on the with the side branch emerging from the soil..Is that another plant altogether? I've tried adjusting my screen, but picture looks messed up still. Really, once a day at most I'd say, but it doesn't hurt the plant to dry up a little bit. They do soar in dry spells outside, why not for a few hours on the inside?
