Hello, I imagine this has been ask many times but I can't find a specific thread.

How many CFL (23W) per a 2 foot plant?

I'm building a closet grow and planning to have 12 23W CFL's, How many plants (2 feet each) can I grow with this much light?

Would it be better to have 12 43W? (assuming I wanna grow 4 plants or so)

(6) 23 watts 6500k for one female
(3-4) 42 watts 2700k for one female

just keep the lights close. I always say, invest the largest part of your budget into your lighting. You want the most light you can possibly get when flowering. so the (12) 42's would be a good investment in 2700k.

As long as you do not have heat issues go with the highest wattage bulbs ya can. Are you using some of those for the canopy(top) an some for the sides to get more light penetration?

AN electronic 400w switchable ballast and the appropriate bulbs is i think what you would truly want and the cost would be about the same or less. them 42 watters get expensive quick.

I'm building a 3'x3'x5' cab so I don't know a 400W would be a great idea since the heat issue, plus i dont want to spend to much money for this build

Also I'm thinking of having 2 80mm computer fans (Maybe 4) for exhaused and 2 80mm computer fans for intake, Is this enough to keep the temperature reasonable for 12 23W CFL?

OHH its a cabinet build. That changes everything i thought it was a closet grow. For my small cabinet i have a 120mm and a 250mm exhaust fans. If i had the room i would switch it out for a 4 inch inline fan and be done with it.
