Well yes, but how does one gain the experience? By learning and practicing, the sooner it is done, the quicker the experience is gained...

you have to scrog the whole time. once ur plants hit the screen u start weaving branches. you veg until 50-75 percent of ur screen is full. there is no set time limit on vegging cause every strain is different. scrogging is not for the time pressed growers. u have to be patient and work with your plants and train them. not for the impatient growers. you train branches until 2 weeks of flowering and then stop. from there the branches grow vertical for the next 6 weeks and produce many many many top colas.

When scroging, is it worth the wait? How much more time does this tek. take? Would this be the best thing to do for people that grow in closets?

scrogging is best for people with height issues. i dont have them but i decided to give it a go and experiment with a new method. and yes i think it will be worth the wait. even in a normal grow the longer u veg the bigger plants u get and more nugs. scrogging is very hard. you have to know how to train the plants to what areas in the screen. you want the whole screen to be filled, and IMO with the 12 plants i have it takes ALOT of attention just growing them bitches, and having to train them into the screen? lots fo work. i wouldnt recommend it for first time growers unless you have a buddy who knows alot or you have done ALLLLLLLLLLLLL your research.

Well, I still have months before I get my own apartment and start my grow so, I'll be doing loads of reading. I kinda wish I had a friend that did/does grow so he can put things in simpiliar terms. Since I would be growing in closets, I was thinking of adding a shelf in the middle so I can fit twice the plants. This tek. would be nice in that situation I think. I'm just trying to get as much as I can so I can be the connect to a couple friends and make some side cash and still have alot for myself. =]

dont tell anyone your growing. when u sell to ur friends just say u got it from a friend. DO NOT TELL ANYONE. loose lips sink ships.

Yea, I defiantly won't. One of the guys i'm going to supply even robbed a couple of his friends houses... Can't really trust anyone nowa days. Only my brother knows that I'll be growing cuz he's going to help, lol.
Just the other day housing (The ppl who collects rent from the projects and cleans it) sent out a snitch slip that basically says if you know anyone selling, write their name down and apartment number and put a check in the boxes of the things they sell...

Hey billy, I have read from numerous places and experienced scroggers that as long as you have no height requirement you can veg, than top, once the plant preflowers, throw the screen about 4-6in above the plant once it begins to flower it will stretch up into the screen and you can begin training and such?? Whats ur take on it? Cause I don't really want to start a new area for mothers and such ya know? I was hoping this would work out

word. from my experience u want to grow the plant into the screen for as long as possible. u want 50-75% of the screen full b4 flowering depending on strain. u stop training at the 2nd week of flowering. IMO 2 weeks in the screen would only make it useful to hold top nugs. the object of a scrog is to keep a plant small in heighth but loooooong in horizonatal length. a plant in a scrog could easily equate to 6 feet tall but only stand at 2 feet and the bend horizontally where the screen is. u want to top as much as possible and branch the fuck out of plants in a scrog. ideally you will have a budsite in every hole, thats tough so 50-75% of the holes filled with budsites is a good goal. i dont think the screen would fill if the plants only had 2 weeks in the screen b4 training stopped. in a scrog u dont want any bottom nugs. ur going for only top colas since the whole canopy is on the same level, and all are receiviing intense light, cause the light can be held so close to an even canopy, instead of a plant with 5-6 vertical feet.

I live in the moutains and the crawl space is pretty cold this time of year should I add a heater exhaust fan and a regular fan or should I just add a heater with a themometer
