End of flowering. Last few weeks CALL FOR HELP!

Hey team, I have had four plants growing happily away in a small stealth shelf setup. I trained them to fit in the small space and it has worked a treat with no real dramas. They have just past day 60 of flowering, so that is 8.5 weeks.
Here is my problem. It has just dawned on me, and freaked me out, that I am going away in just over 3 weeks. Which means that I will have to cut them down in 3 weeks time. I will be fine to take them with me to dry but they have to be chopped up by the 29th. SHIT.

First thing.
Do you think they will be mature and ripe by this time?
Second thing.
I have read that decreasing the plants light cycle to 11 on 13 off in the final few weeks can speed up the process at the compromised of slightly reduced yield. Has anyone here had experience with this and can recommend doing it or against it?

I am not being impatient and trying to hurry this up, just realised that I have a deadline where the plants have to be cut as I won't be around to look after them and I will take my setup apart while I am not in my room.
Please any advise is much appreciated. I really hope they will be ripe in three weeks. they are 8 and a half weeks into flowering now.

Have a look at the pics and let me know what ya reckon?

They are getting close. Keep us posted with regular pics. Watch the trichomes. It's going to be very close..

How long will you be gone? can you move your trip up? or back?

They look real close to being done. 3 days before you harvest if you shut off the lights for the last 3 days it will ( i just did it) ripen up the trichs and frost the plant a little more.

Not sure what went wrong but at 60 days fowering they should be almost done if not done already. Those plants dont look a day over 3 weeks bloom. Are you peeking in on them when the lights are supposed to be out? The night cycle cant be interrupted. If you have to peek use a green light. Plants reflect green so it doesnt harm them. Heres one of mine at 60 days...

Cheers for the quick reply Promitius. I know it will be close, unfortunately I have to leave in the beginning of June, no way to get around it. So thats the deadline. Anyone have any opinions on shifting lighting to 11 on 13 off? I will throw new pics up here every few days for ya.
From what I have gathered I should be waiting for all the pistils to turn brown and curl into the buds? How far away you think?

Hey, It has been a very long flowering cycle.. Your plant looks amazing. I can assure you I have not interrupted the night cycle at all, only once and that was under a green bulb. The temps sit a bit high, at about 29 degrees c. Could that be a factor? They are only under a 150w HPS.

Golden Ganja, Thanks for the imput. I will definitly

Golden Ganja, Thanks for the imput. I will definitely give them 3 days of night before harvest. Good to hear it has worked for you. This seems to be a very long flowering strain.

Maybe its the strain. Donno.

I did the 11 hr days before and it hurt the potency and yeild. Wont do that again. Came out ok but not as good as usual.

Usually the high temps make the plant stretch. Cant believe what a compact size they have stayed. All in all they look pretty kick ass.

Most every grow I do I go past the harvest date by 3-10 days.
Yeah it is best to wait it out, and I am a very patient person. Just have a deadline which pisses me off. However it is 3 weeks away, and an 11-12 week flowering time seems like ages? Thats assuming they are ready by my deadline. Do you feed your plants in the last 3 days in darkness? And you will have flushed them by then too?

Thanks for the compliment. It was pretty easy training them down and around. They are only 35 cm tall from the bottom of the pot. It is my first grow with straight females. And they are random bag seed so unsure of the strain and this part of the grow is all new to me.
Did dropping to 11 hour days hurry them up at all? It will be my last resort in my final week if they have not ripened by then

I flush 9 days before harvest. And when I went dark for 3 days I watered them and let them take up fresh water/molasses for 12 hrs first. My smoke burns clean and my ash is white.

Thats good to know man, cheers. I am trying to stay a step ahead so I know what to expect. What are the molasses you mentioned? Never heard of them?

Nah man, small country in the southern hemisphere. What do molasses do? I will go have a look around my local garden stores. See if I can pick this product up.
Shop at an Organic store or any grocery store.Look in the organic isle or pancake syrup area . Most of your flowering products have molasses in it, just read the ingredients.
The best Molasses is Black Strap, more Potassium.

It helps the microrganism in the soil and it feeds the buds with Potassium and mag. It leaves no taste in the buds and is safe to use at 1-2 tbl per gal every feeding/watering up to harvest. It will give you bigger buds, up t0 20%.
Thanks heaps for that. Sorry, it sounds like I just fell out of a tree. I had just never heard of the product before. It sounds like it will help me out no end.
