haha, what can i say, one day i'm employed the next i'm not. as of 20 days time i'm bankrupt. an nah, the ingredient list went pork 54% then water and the rusk. like bloody cheap bacon, you whack it in the pan and just dissapears amid a sea of milky bubbles, bahhh

WTF is a seafood stick?

mmmmm :D it's like a pound for 16,

Surimi (Japanese: 擂り身, lit. "ground meat", Chinese: 魚漿; pinyin: yú jiāng; literally "fish puree or slurry") is a Japanese loan word referring to a fish-based food product intended to mimic the texture and color of the meat of lobster, crab and other shellfish. It is typically made from white-fleshed fish (such as pollock or hake) that has been pulverized to a paste and attains a rubbery texture when cooked.
sounds so much more appealing when you look into the details haha

Fry those up with some tempura batter and put em in a sushi roll. Throw in some soy and wasabi and some beers and you got yourself a pretty tasty snack.

now inunderstand your previous post haha, that's mad. i can buy alcohol from 7am till 11pm on sundays :D loves it!

just eating maple and pecan pastries and some seafood sticks :)

ate a packet of somerfield english pork cocktail sausages last night. a pork sausage, not a basics range or anything, guess the pork content...

most of the state/country is not like this.... but being down south, these are remnants of the old "blue laws"..... not here, but next door in mississipi, there are counties that dont allow the sale of ANY kind of alcohol...... drive 20miles and buy a bottle of 198proof everclear.... makes no damn sense

tonight is boneless pork chops with roasted potatoes and apple gravy ;)

Its bullshit man. There are some stupid laws. In some towns, you can buy beer but it can't be cold. A town in a dry county near me just had a ballot initiative to allow the sell of beer. The churches were out in force campaigning against it.

Pinto beans with rice for me tonight.

that is freaking bad ass , right now i wish i was you ,i miss the pure pleasure of simple spaghetti and garlic bread

simple food, that still tastes amazing is what its all about down south bro..... tonight was another easy one, roast beef poboys w/homemade gravy. Here's the recipe if any of you cats feel like tryin it out.

1lb sliced roast beef from local deli of your choice..... break up into whatever size you want it, or be a dick and ask for it "chipped/shaved" at the deli :)
1 loaf fresh french bread (can probably get it hot out the oven at same store if you're willing to wait a minute for it)

gravy:

3cups water
4beef bullion cubes
dash of soy sauce
2cloves of garlic, cut to your liking
1med. onion, also cut to your preference
bout 1/4 cup of chopped green onion
dash of marjoram
dash of sage
2 bay leaf
generous dash of paprika
@ 2tblsp of red wine
a lil bit of thickening agent (cornstarch, flour, roux, etc)

bring the water and bullion cubes to a boil....
start adding the rest of the shit in any order you see fit.... add more of this, less of that; play with it if you'd like, its YOUR creation at this point....

when its smelling scrumptious and irresistible, add the red wine and meat, and the thickening agent in the end. Just remember to mix it in with water and pour said mixture into the gravy, if you just put the powder in the gravy you'll get horrible clumps....
thicken to desired consistency, or you can opt to leave the gravy alone and have more of a french dip type sandwich....

litely toast the french bread and then make your "poboy" and enjoy!
