haha that'd be pretty sweet if you made a song for RIUI'd definitely make a tune for rollitup .
I'm not much for lyrics but I can make up music all day. but like I said my recording setup is pretty limited right now. the best I can do as far as videos go are my camera or my webcam. I'm not sure how good the speaker is in my camera plus that's limited by batteries so most likely I'll be fooling around with the webcam.
but yeah it's too late and I'm too tired/high to do anything tonight.
anyways, I could hella make a reggae tune for a rollitup song .
if you have a microphone laying around that you can connect to the computer and download Audacity you can record some pretty good quality sounding shit on it. I use it all the time.yeah I got some sort of reggae tune going but I haven't gotten around to recording it haha. I'll get it done eventually .
Is it crack/poping from being recorded (too hot)? If that's it you can turn down the input setting. It wont be as loud but then you can edit it to bring the volume up. compressor or just db+.yeah I've actually recorded with audacity before. my cheap mic requires me to edit the sound constantly because there are high points that make the recording crack/pop.
it's a bit more work but I can get something out.
ah. all I've got is one of the guitar hero/rock band mics. they actually work surprisingly well for something that's used for a video game. only thing I don't like is it's a bit too sensitive sometimes.yeah I've actually recorded with audacity before. my cheap mic requires me to edit the sound constantly because there are high points that make the recording crack/pop.

Here's some pretty good backing tracks for practicing improv. There are some good lessons on the site too. http://riffoftheweek.com/jamtracks-jukebox/Added a bunch of songs to my repitiore since my last post. Been learning alot of raggae. I've been wanting to learn to improvise, but I got a long way to go by then.
I was working at a festival where Chuck Berry was headlining. He pulls up to the back of the stage in a 70's Cadillac. He then renegotiates his fee right before he goes own. He gets a couple of hundred more. He got payed entirely in cash. He was wireless. At the end of the show he said goodnight and walked all the way back to his car without stopping playing, jumps in and hauls ass out of there. One of the craziest things I've ever seen.I'm down. Been playing 4 or 5 years, I'm self taught....
I've been working on Tuesdays Gone, Stairway to Heaven, and Johnny B. Goode lately
Kind of hard to get into the mindset of Chuck Berry for all the little fillers in Johnny B Goode though
