who has done it, who has pics?

i flowered w/ 1000watt mh last grow, this grow its 1000watt hps. but heres pics of last grow. it was fed lots of nutrients, the strain is powerplant. my buddy grew the same strain under his 1000watt hps and the colas were extremely larger. the bud from the mh was incredibly fire though, both produce awesome herb.

thank you Mr.420! someone who isnt afraid to experiment. so how much was the yield/potency diff between flowering w/mh or hps?

I have actually done a comparison between the two..

I've vegged and flowered in HPS.

I've vegged and flowered in MH

I've vegged in HPS flowered in MH

I've vegged in MH and flowered HPS.........

From my experience and you'll probably hate to hear this..but vegging in MH and then HPS is probably the "best" way to go.. but to tell you the truth your not going to be too dissapointed if you flower in MH..the buds will appear to be really dank looking then compared to the HPS, that is only due to the light spectrum that your eyes are used too...the crystals and the green leaves just seem to look so good underneath that cool light spectrum... your still going to yield something nice...think about it some people even considering flowering in CFL's.(weak! i wouldn't recommend it!) if ya use a MH light and use a 3000k bulb, will you be able to get some decent smoke?

For every grow I try to aim at getting a 1Gram per Watt of cured Bud. So with every 1000watt light I'm aiming to get 2 lbs. With the MH I believe I got about 0.65-0.75 Grams per Watt and with HPS I get anywhere from .75 to .90 Grams per Watt. So I'd say a Slight Difference but different variations between density, resin, smell, and other little factors..

I've Actually managed to pull 2lbs off 1 600watt HPS..and am tweaking my strategy to improve even more. Yes that is 2 lbs off 1 600watt.

Thats awesome man. 2lbs off a 600watt. But i guess alot of it boils down to the grower's skill too. Practice makes perfect! ahak.

6 Plants with a 600watt on a light mover. Roughly a little over 5 ounces a Plant.

Best Grow so far was nine 600watts HPS (5,400 watts) yielded 11lbs. of Dank.
