I really want to break a pound. Last year I got just over a pound and seeing some outdoor grows that's nothing. 2lb.'s + would be nice! And I'm not counting my eggs before there hatched just hoping this is the turn out.

And this is some of the main things I do when I prep my area. When I have the perfect spot I like to clear the area out but not too much. This includs cutting anything blocking light from getting to my plants and also getting rid of plants any where near where my plants would be- -You don't want your girls to have to fight for root space. I do bring soil out to the holes also. It's a BITCH but it's worth it.
And yes dig your holes at least a week in advance. This gives animals a chance to inspect these holes before you
have your plants in them. For animals I use mothballs, human piss, ivory soap, human hair, there's tons of things you can use.

Thanks for subn and Happy Growing to you as well!:blsmoke:

Thats too bad you cant use your previous spot. The other day I went out hiking to where I google earthed a good location, when I hiked in I found 15-20 3gl pots scattered around. It looked like a perfect spot but obviously someone has used it before and left the pots for some reason or another.

Do they look like there from this year? That's weird and some bad luck. Someone growing in the same spot you google earthed lol, Must be one of them perfect spots:eyesmoke:

This is really up to you. Trial and Error is the best way to find out what works best for you. For me, if I have the money I will just get some bags of Fox Farm Happy Frog. I mix this happy frog with some of the already existing soil. This year I also want to place like half a fish at the bottom of the hole. Heard this work magic. And as I mentioned in an early post I'm going to try and make some of my own soil this year too. I have really no experience with this so we'll see how this goes.:leaf:

Ive heard not to use fishes in the soil cause it will attract predators that will dig her up to get the fish. Unless u got a cage around your plant an roots.

I got jacked by a dam GOPHER!?!? Got my first baby after 2 weeks outside, I never seen it coming. The plant was almost intact but all the roots gone, Left a huge hole 1ft wide by 3 1/2 ft deep, directly under my Rabbit cage.

So now im using a chicken wire cage in the hole before I add dirt to protect most of the roots.

so you are going to dig a hole..put wire all in the hole and around the plant??? that right? makes sense... i went out digging holes for my plants and somehow i dug right above a dam ground hog den...perfect spot too, nice soil..little bastard...then i looked around and saw to holes under some brush close by...so now im always looking for the holes before i dig... but what bout that wire???

Ya I have heard people say good and bad things about the fish deal. But ya never know until you try. I won't be placing fish in every whole I dig so I will be able to tell the difference with and without the fish. And I won't be Using a cage. Just Smelly stuff like moth balls, Ivory soap, human hair and piss also.

So little update....all but a few NL made it (about17) in the bubble cloner. I planted a few NL clones into beer pong size cups with some re-used FF OF soil. One of my pumps died and i didn't catch it in time before the 6 SC died. They will be replaced tonight. One of the BGS1 tops died but one rooted and was planted into soil to same as NL. So tonight I plan on taking a few HH clones and some SC clones maybe even a few NL since this will be most likely the last time I clone for outdoors for 2010. Unfortunately I have a virus on my computer so I won't be updating pic's until get that fixed, but have been taking pic's so will have plenty soon!

So at the moment we have-

-2 SC clones in soil (more to come)
-6 NL clones in soil (more to come)
-3 BGS3 un sexed (about to be sexed and males going to garbage)
-1 BGS2 LST'd (2 gal grow bag)
-1 BGS1 toped (2-3 gal bag)
-1 BGS1 clone the top (just put in soil today)
&
-3 Mother's Strawberry Cough, Northern Lights , and Holland's Hope

I'm working on getting rid of this virus now so hopefully will have pic's soon.:leaf:

thats what i got. they are only 5ft sections so you need a few rolls depending on how big you make them. i think i bought three rolls and made 4 circle fences about a foot/foot and a half in diameter. idk how you are gonna do it but i got some quarter inch wooden dowels, cut them in half, and tied them to the side so about a foot sticks out on the bottom and it holds them in the ground really well.

Soap bars, coffee, piss, moth balls all failed my first 2 babys.
The rodents just laugh an burrow under my cages.
So I had to add root cages, wired to the top cage to stop em.

I recomend em.
My journal link below has vids of how i make very camo cages.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BvJI6XW3p3A

also you can heat up chicken wire in a fire to make it not look new an shiny.
