Cloning technics

:leaf: My hope is that this thread turns into a valuable source of info for any one who is looking for help with cloning.

Anyone and everyone with helpful info should chime in.

Please cover everything from cutting to rooting.

I would especially love to hear from those who have a 100% success rate or close to it!

Happy Growing!

Clonex, a humidity dome, a heated mat, and rapid rooter plugs are what I use for near 100% success every time. That being said, there are a number of other cloning threads as it seems to be a hard thing for people to get down.

Snip, Dip and stick. Honestly its that easy.

There are many modifications people do to increase chances of roots and all that but really, keep it simple and you will have near 100% success rate. The cuts WANT to root and survive, you just need to guide them.

dwc bucket cloner.. too easy.

Bucket with a lid.. cut out 2" holes in lid and put neoprene inserts in holes to hold clone in place.

Fill bucket with water til the water almost touches clones, maybe a 1/8" away..

add a few drops of Superthrive, and a pinch of rooting compound.. thats it.. (unless you wanna put a small amount of nutes into water..I do)

Grab a small airpump from walmart, and a piece of 1/4" hose and feed it through the lid by drilling a small hole, and hook up the end to an airstone..

within a week, you'll have lots of roots!! Guaranteed!! :)

Damn Closet! Those are THE whitest root's Ive seen in a DWC in all of RIU.

BTW, do you keep those under the same lighting as the plant they came off of? Or do you put them under a florescent?

Thanks folks,

I strictly use agro sun or t5's tubes to light em up, and I feed em "Lucas" ..GH Flora series> 8ml of micro and 16 ml of bloom per gallon.

I use a 3 1/2 gallon bucket with 2 gallons of water.. and of course 2 drops of Superthrive and a pinch of rooting powder like mentioned earlier.

100% success rate. Give it a whirl, you'll never go back to anything else :)

Good luck :) actually, you wont need any luck, its the real deal.

I just cut my clones yesterday. I used 1x1 rock wool cubes and clonex ,in a humidity dome with a heating pad under it. they look bitch'n today, they have already straightened back up. I'm a little worried about stem rot but well see how. it goes I guess.

done it 3 times with 100% success rate
first time i did 3,then4, then 9
people make cloning way to complicated.....

its pretty easy to do, but so many people complicate it so much and try to do so many things to increase their chances that inevitably they kill them. Its very easy to LOVE your plants to death.

QFT.

JUMBO, how long till you get roots in the bottom of those cups? I'm using the same ones this time around, next time i'm going to cut them and use the bottom 1/3 of em.
