I have been thinking the last two weeks...
1. Should I just continue on with the SCRoG screen and grow?
2. Should I SoG this and forget the whole screen? I do not want to deal with too many clones as I will be cutting from plant just about to go into flower. So SoG would probably not be good for me.
3. I want a Perpetual Grow but the way this is setup, I just can't think of how to get a perpetual grow at least once every month. The left chamber is for Flowering. It will take two months to harvest the plants from the left chamber. Maybe I can just use the right chamber to Flower also, do a little LST around the rim of the pots.
4. Should I keep a mother plant in the right chamber and just take cuttings from her, then grow the clones in the same chamber until they are ready to go into the Flowering chamber (in the left side of the closet). Or should I take cuttings from vegging plants.
Help me out guys, should I redesign the grows' source of medium. At this point I cannot invest any more money into this grow.
What I Am working with:
Flowering Room:
Flood & Drain - When the Tub is filled with Hydroton, and flooded with water, it fills up to the top, the plant will easily float around. This is a problem. I guess I have to use some pots big and tall enough to stay in the tray.
Hydroton - I have Enough to fill the the Flood Tub but the Tub is not high enough to support the plants when reaching maturity. Then i thought, If I SCRoG this the screen would be enough support to hold the plants in place.
Should I just fill the Tub with Hydroton and let the plants sit in there then use the screen to keep them in place? I think that maybe the base of the plants stem will get soggy and rot away if they are too close to the water level. And that the drainage filter will get clogged up with the roots of the plants, and I will have a hard time reaching the drainage hole to unclog it.
