looks like by your feed schedule they should be doing fine on oxygen - 1/2str nutes is what ppm? do you know? maybe in there lies your answer. ive taken fresh seedlings to 800-1000 ppm easily and you can see it in the growth.

That flew right over my head.

Very nice chewy. They look so cute!!!:peace:
I love cute:lol::clap::weed:
Week Four:

Everything is exactly the same except now nutes are at 1/2 instead of 1/4 strength for seedlings. (GH Flora three part)

Yep, they are very small for four weeks. They look very healthy as well - sucks, but, haven't found anything to encourage faster growth. They just keep going along, growing but slowly.

Thanks for taking a look -

Thanks russ0r.

Did you spot a deficiency? They look very green to me, and I am afraid to increase the nutes and burn them. Looking closely I see some signs of the plants struggling to cope with the nute levels since going to 1/2 on Sunday. They will be good by the looks of it, but to increase now, before they have shown they are ready seems to be asking for trouble.

I am guessing that I stunted them when they were very young, and this slow growth is the consequence. Hopefully they will fully recover and begin to grow rapidly.

What I don't understand is that they appear healthy. They seem to have fully recovered from any early problems. So, why the slow growth? I cant imagine it is nutes as you suggested. They are too green -- a N overdose would seem likely if I pushed here.

again thanks

being to "green" isnt much of a sign i'd look for, unless they are too dark green, then worry about nitrogen overdose. any stunting early on should have resolved in a week if things were done right, espcially in hydro, having a PPM meter usually is the way to go, so you know how much you are feeding, otherwise that ends up an issue. i didnt spot and deficiencies. if it were my grow i'd be looking at nutrients/ph. do you change you resivor somewhat regularly? i'm not saying to incrase because i dont know you're ppm's and i'm not familiar with your nutrients, but a ppm meter can help you alot in knowing what they are really getting fed.

Res change every week.

PH is stable, the GH Flora three part has PH buffers that keep it fairly steady at 6-6.5.

I'm really grasping at straws.

thanks HoLE, but at 5 weeks something isn't right.

haven't seen most anyone at #rollitup lately, I thought it was the holidays, or maybe everyone got over it.

Week Six:

They are still small for their age -- will be forever runts.

But, they smell sweet and I have to force myself not to play with their leaves and smell my fingers. :hump:

The first picture is of a plant that is showing pre-flowers and they are male. But, I'll wait a few days just to double check.

Still need advice and opinions as to why they never really took off in veg.

Also, I bought a vicks vaporizer thinking it would help my humidity problem. But, when I got it set up I thought about the mist hitting my 400 HPS--that could be a major problem, right? What do you think, yah or nah on the vaporizer?

Well, one is a girl anyway. All the others are male.

What is funny is that two of the males are tall and not very bushy -- as expected, but one is almost identical to the female. That sucks, I thought for sure the second short bushy plant would also be female.

Killed off the males--

I was expecting some funky root problems to explain the slow growth. I really think it is the strain, as everything has checked out.

Enjoy the graphic image-

We all run in to mystery problems that resolve themselves man, do not worry about it much, it looks like they're problems are solved and they are growing normally to me now, have fun.

Worlds smallest 7 week old.

Only one left cause only one that was a girl.

I really wanted a mother to start clones, but I am not going to clone this. I am going to buy another strain and build a new set up. This plant is entirely too small, even if its normal I don't want it.

Thanks, I am having fun. I am looking forward to building a better system and starting fresh. Still, I am going to flower this girl. But, I think I might let her grow and grow and grow for long time first, as she is so slow.

and something else to note a 400 w hps if you try hard you can get it 6 inches from the canopy. hopever even then you're only getting sufficient production in maybe 16 inches down the plant - the rest will produce nothing. thats why topping does wonders, or lots of small clones.
