Question about carbon filters

Wat up fellas. My question is: when using a carbon filter is it supposed to be on the inside of the grow room PULLING the stank through or on the outside PUSHING the stank through? Does it even make a dif? Only reason I ask is becuase I have seen pics of both although more so of the filter on the outside pushing air through.

from what ive always understood, its supposed to be in your grow room, near the ceiling, sucking and filtering the intake air.

It can go both ways you can put it iny our grow room and have it suck the dirty air in and push the clean air out OR you can have your carbon filter outside and have the dirty air exhausted to your carbon filter.

ive heard of much better results coming from pulling air into the filter and blowing out clean air.

Ok. Thx for the input. I just got done hookin up the filter on the inside for the odor to get pulled through. Correct me if I'm wrong , but woudnt u have to flip the furnace filter around the other way if u were pushing the air through? Asuming ur diy'n the carbon scrubber.

all manufactured carbon filters are made to pull air through them. that's why they have a corse, white secondary filter on the outside to stop larger particles from clogging the carbon.
