Do you need to veg with screen or will lower growth stretch enough during first few weeks of flower? FFOF soil and nutes, LED CFL, LSTed 6 weeks from bean. Thanks for any help.
SCROG? Will bottom stretch up to fill?

first of all, your plants look great, your doing something right. have you switched to 12/12 yet? i veg the last 2-3 weeks with the screen, then switch the lights, and tuck the tops back under for another 10-14 days. if you havent switched the lights yet, you should, soon, those plants will double in size during flowering, and your screen looks full already. scrog grows are great. its like bonsai weed plants

Im 2 weeks into 12/12 and I have all of you to thank for my current success. So I should tuck the tops and keep training abit? Do you think the bootom will stretch abit still? I havent gotten off Grow Big yet and just started 1/4 Tiger Bloom . Should I focus more light to bottom? Again Thanks.

just re-read your post and realized that i didn't answer the question. some of the bottom branches will streach up, by the time you see lots of hairs, and stop tucking the tops back down (10-14) days, you can see what tops arent going to make it to the screen, i cut them to make room for the others. what kind of led do you have? do you like it? i have wondered about those for small cabinet grows, but heard mixed reviews. what do you think of yours compared to cfls?

There called Lighthouse Hydro 09, and this is my 1st grow. In veg everything looked like Indicas , all the leaves just become so huge, I only used the LEDs and just started the CFLs a couple weeks back. I tried to find reviews but couldnt , and I saw alot of benefits about combining them , ya I could have just bought a HPS but I figured I give the LED a try, and didnt want alot of heat . Im preety psyched about the harvest. Anyways if they dont work Ill find a use for them they should be problem free for a long time , I hope.

I just took 6 clones today and lowered some side lighting alittle. Ill play with them tomorrow , I wanna watch and learn , and train if I have to , maybe even bend screen a little. I just hope I get the growth everyone talks about in flower. Thanks again.

^^^i agree, thats a good way to put it.
how many watts are those led's? how many lumens? how much less heat do those things throw off than a cfl? i know that i could just buy an hps too, it seems like the leds are kind of the next generation of lights, people are kind of stuck in their ways, so i'm curious to how they really work. i'll sub to this thread if you keep everybody posted. good luck!

90 watt LEDs and 4x 26watt 2700 and 3x 26 watt 6500, small fan no exhaust yet can get up to 90 but I open door alot between 60 and 65 , I try to keep around 80. Ill keep updating , Im just new and triing to be discreet. Thanks.

So if I push the tops back under, or the tallest ones ,will they slow down stretching allowing the other shoots the stretch, or will they just keep growing horizontally? Should I try and LST the tops or is that what the screen does? Thanks.

They will come right back through the screen as soon as they can. I'm doing my first scrog grow now and have learned a lot in the last month. It seems the trick when pulling the top back through is not to do it to early. You should wait until they have grown tall at 4 or 5 inches above the screen before you pull them back under so that you can place it in the next whole and still have it stick up through so the it can receive the light from its top and not its side. I did not do this at the beginning of my grow and I can really see where I retarded the growth from having the light hitting the side of the branch, lying over, rather than facing up. I could have also filled the screen with more control. Good luck, its looking great.

If when I move tall shoots and they sorta crease or I guess Supercrop will they be Ok, will it slow the growth of that shoot?

I accidentally twisted some of the shoots and they definitely were affected. As far as any being creased I didn't have a problem with that, the growth of mine was still pretty fresh so I didn't have any breaks or bad creases. This is probably because I have my screen only ten inches above the medium though. I have a friend who, despite my advice, put his screen about 1.5-2 ft above his plants. Once his plants have reached the screen the shoots are much stronger and have a greater chance of being broken. He will also find that he will not get as good of a yield because so many of the flower sites will be beneath the canopy. I also do not super crop. I only remove lower fan leaves that are covering bud sites or that are covered-not producing much. I also have removed many of the shoots that are not going to ever catch up to the canopy level, that way the plant will direct more energy to the colas that will producing the most. Also I removed most of what is now beneath the screen for the same reason.

This is correct. On my grow you can see where the plants in the front of the tent that have been messed with more and are definitely shorter because of it wich has caused the canopy to be uneven. I also wouldn't worry too much about getting a node in every hole of the screen. I believe if I had done every other it might have worked better. There just isn't enough room to grow in every one and still provide equal light to all of the colas. Just be patient and don't over think iot too much and you will be fine. This is my first scrog and I have found it to be super easy, and I too learned everything from this forum and a couple of books.

Should I thin out the bottom as soon as possible before I get to far in? Ive read that alot of peeps say dont cut anything off.

I thinned mine very slowly, just a little bit every day, only taking whole leaves when needed. Once the canopy was dense and full, however, I removed anything under the screen that no longer received light, but only if absolutely no light was coming through. I also removed any of the shoots that were never going to make it that way the plant can focus it's energy on the primary colas.
