Grinder Vs Breaking up by hand

Weeellllllllll you do already have a grinder there that looks almost like a space case.
Depends on the size of that one and how the screen is set up. I cant stand those grinders with the screen right under the
grinder...
If yours is like that get you a space case with the full compartment under the grinder then the screen.
I little trick I like to use is to put a nickel in the compartment where my ground up weed falls then shake it a few times each time
you grind and you will collect a hair more kief.

this is weed culture, in seattle i only see people using grinders when they roll something, in phoenix i see most people use their grinders 24/7. at first it was hard for me to want to use a grinder but here in phoenix its so dry the bowl stays cherried after you hit it and its annoying, the grinder helped kill that problem.

its funny cause in seattle if you hit it and its still burnin everyone makes you keep hitting it till it goes out, i miss those (humid) days.

I dont understand lol as long as you hit it, it'll stay lit internal. lol we hate it here when you have to relight it every time, pass that shit while its still going internal.

Yeah I prefer to get passed a cherried bowl, because you just got to puff and pass instead of wasting time relighting the bowl, and especially when I'm driving and toking with some buddies, it is so much more convenient to get passed a cherried bowl

most people in phx arent pro smokers. they leave a bowl cherried while they jaw jack, take forever to pass, long stories with the blunt, overall just bad social weed manors (at least compared to my experience in seattle). often the shit gets wasted due to neglect. PLUS, most people pay 20 a g here so we try to make it stretch.

I have that large 4 piece and a medium 2 piece
My buddy has the medium 4 piece, I say it would probably hold like 1.5g comfortably, and like 2g tight in there.
To be honest though the medium isn't that medium. If I saw the medium I would think it was the small.
If you can spend the extra $ I'd get the large. You'll love it if you plan to use it a lot.
Like I said before I grinded an eighth in like 30 seconds and there was still a good amount of room in there. Could probably hold 5g-6g.
Also it has a lot more surface area on the screen, so it collects keif like a motherfucker. A LOT more than my friends medium.
Go to www.vapeworld.com check out their space cases and their dimensions, then get a tape measure or a ruler and draw out the dimensions so you can see how big they are.
The medium feels REALLY light, and has some thinner metal because it is smaller, my large is nice and solid.

I do both, depends on how I plan on consuming it... for a vape, or any rolled up smokie treats grinder all the way.. for bowls, I prefer doing it by hand... which of course depends on the strain(s) I have. I tend to save the fresher stuff for bowls, and the better cured stuff gets the grinder, and with about 10% 'fresh' (being just dried for smoking) cut in. then again, buds only account for about half my consumption... because you can never go wrong with hash and oils... I prefer the quickest, easiest way to consume, thus some good potent oil where one drop is like one bowl, mix it with some tobacco, and roll it into a cig (just the 2/3rds you smoke) which makes for an ultra smooth, ultra potent cigarette that with quality oil will not really stand out....

That's awesome, I've never had the opportunity to buy any oils around here, and I don't have enough resources right now to make my own, but I really can't wait to get my hands on some and test the waters

I have heard people debate teh BHO and alcohol based formulations to the death... personally I would only make an alcohol based preparation myself, just for the dangers of the BHO process... I also prefer to use PGA/Ethanol/grain alcohol in the highest percentage avail. I generally use 90+% myself. My 'oil' is made with trim, stems, vape outs, and harsh herb.... I also will pick up any clearance sales the local dispensaries have... last week picked up an OUNCE of some very potent bud... and from time to time, some dispensaries will even have shake clearouts... 30/oz for high quality trim... trim that is as good as low-mid quality buds... I take all this and basically place it into a giant jar, place in freezer. I also place the alcohol in the freezer... once both are ice cold, I mix, and give it a shake a few times a day, keeping the mix in the cold cold temp for 3 months, shaking at least 3x a day for 15 minutes. after 90 days, I remove, let warm to room temp for 1 hour, while shaking every 5 minutes for a minute... then filter, place solution in jar, pulp into a bag and into freezer (in case the oil did not extract the stuff...) and place the jar of alcohol in a hot water bath I made out of an old electric kettle, an old small sink, and various plumbing fittings.... this helps evaporate off the excess ethanol very quickly, while not overheating the mixture. Also, supposedly, this prevents overheating the oil, giving it a nicer golden color, instead of the well known black-greenish brown stuff many are used to. This is the kind of HO that can be made into some awesome ass, very stable earwax hash... just mix in a little kief and even less full melt jelly and whip at ~140 degrees F... easier to make bigger batches. It also blows most 'earwax hash' you can find in the dispensaries away, and only comes second to true budder.... with my home made earwax, if you manage two good hits.... you are stoned to being almost catatonic... one good hit does it... for about 5-6 hours. The only problem about getting used to using hash, is it raises your tolerances of THC, lengthens the time it is in your system, which also creates more 'withdrawal' type symptoms upon cessation of use. I once did three hits of my home made earwax (this batch was all my Purple Kush X MK Ultra home grow...) and passed out for 12 hours, woke up with my kidneys hurting from dehydration, and soaked in sweat... and my oil, has barely any trace of ethanol left, and when heated, it easily turns into CO2 and H2O...That's awesome, I've never had the opportunity to buy any oils around here, and I don't have enough resources right now to make my own, but I really can't wait to get my hands on some and test the waters

That is insane parabear, I've never been close to shit that potent, I had some good hash just barely mixed into a blunt and I had two hits of that, but nothing compared to what your saying man

I love my grinder and I am sure you will like it too if you give it a try. I grow my own but I still care how much smoke I get in my lungs. Because I have endless supply of it I have to be more conscious.

here's a picture of my grinder. its also a space case, this thing holds damn near a half ounce.
personally, i only use the grinder when i'm rolling straight choppers.
if i'm rolling a personal blunt or like a gram or less i like to break it up by hand.
i find that grinding turns it to dust. and while you will most likely get an even hit/cherry, i like rolling pregnant/lumpy lookin blunts with chunks of weed.
i feel like they look fatter too when i break it up by hand.
