may i suggest attaching you filter to one end of your light and on the other end have your fan pulling the hot air from your light pushing it out the tent also open up a couple of vents to create a passive intake this will help you drop your temps esp on yur light and you will be abe to put it closer to your plants it will also bring your temps down more to an ideal range of abut 76 to 78 dependig on your overall room temps

this is what i mean

Ok so an outdoor guy eh well welcome to the great indoors I am sure with ur experiance u notice plants can grow well in a range of temps and I'm sure you are aware that when you start to come close to and even exceeded that range plant growth stops as well as other negatives happen so u as u understand by staying within the range you will be fine you are correct but only to an extent when you grow indoors you can take it several setps farther you can provide a optimal growing enviorment constantly by doing this you will achieve a better result as you grow indoors you find that optimal temps are mid 70s no more then 78 n with co2 u want higher temps like 82 83 no by no means I I saying you won't achieve a good end result I'm just trying to throw a pointer or two out there to make it just that much better I believe u posted u had slow growth n I thought that this may help you but in the end the choice is urs good luck either way

you are absalutly right man. this indoor thing is little bit more complicated. i have already fucked these plants up. i have notice the slightest thing can throw off everything with hydro ie. indoor. but i am learning so i take everything in from people like u that know what to do. I am having a slight heat issue so maybe i need to add co2. I already took your advice and change my blower to pull rather then push.(thanks). any other advice let me know.

ok first thing is first you have not fucked things up yet but there are three huge changes you need to make you need to have you in line fan vent your light to lower your temps n your gonna need to drop your rez temp bot are way too high rez should be abour 64f to 66f perefet temp for the most oxygen in the water high temps disovle oxygen which is a negative effect for your plants you may need to get a chiler either 1/10hp or 1/4 hp ( i believe you posted somewhere temps were 88f and water was like 77f way to high thats the big reason for slowgrowth) next ditch the net pots get some solid ones and have something to cover the top to prevent alage check my journal if you wanna read more on the net pot issue its covered in there you should also try to define your goals i mean what r yoiu trying to achieve n then wok backwards how am i going to get there etc if you have any problems let me know

thanks man. i got my room temp down to 79 - 80 , my rez temp is down to 69 - 70, and if i ditch my net pots and i get solid pots when the table floods will the water still fill the solid pot? or do i have to make larger holes on the bottom of the solid pots? also am i ok if my rez PH fluxuates between 5.5 and 6.0 or does always have to stay exactly 5.5 everytime it floods? and were would i get a water chiller? i was looking at them online and the only one's i can find are pretty expencive.

ok looking good now your on the right path yea water chillers are a lil pricy if you wanna save a lil money get the 1/10 try searchuing google or check an aquarium store for a used one possibly pythium and root rot ideal temps will be 60-64 tops during the summer you may need to invest into an ac to help you further drop temps but as long as 80 is a max you will get by letting the ph swing is good i start at about 5.4 5.5 like you and let it go up to 6.0 6.1 before i top off or adjust it yes the solid pots will fill up with water if you feel the need for more holes add them but only too the bottom not on the sides and remeber to cover the tops like you did the rockwool cubes let me know if you have any problems

ok getting better yea chillers are pricy i found a 1/10 hp for 300 new at my hydro store 75 off list prisce they will ship google ready set grow hydroponics you will def need the chiller for warmer months maybe not so much in da winter you may also need to get a portable ac of some sorts too if the temps start getting high letting the ph swing is fine its oke to do that but when you top off or res change makesure your at 5.4 or 5.5 to allow fo the swing google ask lucas and in his threads he talks about nutrients and nutrient profiles for mmj good luck let me know if u have any problems
