First of all i am new to this site. I do not expect anyone to answer all of my questions, i know there are many, but i am in need of info, and would like anyones input, and i appreciate anyone who takes the time to help me out. I will also post a picture of my plants tommarow.
To start off this is my first grow. I have ten plants coming along about 3-4 weeks old. They were all bag seeds which were potent sativas from around my area. I kept them under 24 hours of light indoors for about 2 weeks. I built them a little plastic house and put them outside in the sun, because i had to get them out of the house (legal issues). The house sits in the middle of a field and gets direct sun all day, so basicly 12/12. There all anywhere from 3-5 inches tall and in the second stage, i have them all in cups that will fit them until i can put em in the ground. I used MG moisture control soil and perlite.(3/4soil-1/4perlite). I realize i should have kept them on 24-0 for a while instead of 12/12.
ok, now the questions
First off, i look at a lot of other grows and they are huge compared to mine at 4 weeks. Ive fed them MG all purpose plant food a couple days ago, so they should be getting enough nutrients between that and the MG soil. What am i doing wrong? I do not believe its my soil, although i am aware many despise MG.
What is the minimum size i want them to be at to plant in the ground?
Is there anything i can do to toughen them up and boost there growth a bit so i can put them out asap?
Will they still need to be tended to if they are on the sides of a stream or swamp?
Also, about how much direct sunlight do they need per day and still be healthy?
I live in the middle of the woods in NE america with tons of wildlife, are there any animals i should take out or keep a watchful eye for, or anyway to keep them away?
Is there anything i want to look for when choosing a spot to plant in?
And last, i plan on trimming/clipping my plants to give a big yeild, any techniques or things i should know on how to do so?
Thanks.
