Flipping/Rotating pictures I have taken.. before posting in forums.

quick question, I just got done taking some of the best pictures I have ever taken (when considering that the camera I'm using is a new camera that I have no experience using really).

anyhow, in order to fit the bigger plant of the two.. into the viewfinder on the camera.. I had to rotate the camera into a "landscape" position. So therefore quite a few of the good pictures I just took.. are in the landscape position.. and would be difficult for people to view if they wanted to check them out.

The only program I have on my computer, is that cheap ass "MS Paint" program and I tried using that to rotate the pictures that needed it.. but once I rotated them and clicked the save button.. it says that "MS Paint cannot save this file" and "Saving of the file was interrupted" so therefore I cannot save the pictures.. once I put them back into the normal "portrait" position.

Anyone have any advice?

I have another computer, my MAC. It's a MAC air notebook.. but I have no way of transferring the pics I took just a little bit ago.. over to my notebook MAC.

so, I guess I'm stuck using Windows to do this... but again.. MS Paint can't save the photos once I rotate them back into the "portrait" position.. instead of being in the "landscape" position.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.. as I'm really kinda excited to get these pictures of my babies up on the boards.

Thanks in advance to any and all those who help.

peace:peace:

Wait. In one sentence explain your problem dude. Don't mean to be rude it's just I was very confused reading that. Maybe It's because I'm really tired though.

90% sure I can help if it has to do with computers

When you load them into paint in the landscape position have you tried re-sizing the pic by going to:

Image>Stretch/Skew

Then change the Horizontal & Vertical values to 50% each..

Keep changing the values until the pic is a decent size to post here.. that should work

if you right click on the image and selcet preview the image opens in a microsoft viewer you will see two buttons rotate left and rotate right... if i understand you correctly this should solve your problem :-)

If you have Microsoft Office 2007 you should have Microsoft Picture Manager. This allows you to edit for color, brightness and size as well as rotate/flip your pics. It is the easiest editing software I have used.

The viewer does not let you make savable changes to the pictures, its just there to view them etc.

If you have a mac, email the photos to yourself, and then open your email on the air and you should be good to go, although it seems you've fixed your problem, at least for future thought
