My method just before harvesting:
Ok guys so my 9 week flowering ladies will hopefully be ready to chop down in the next few days, I looked at the trichomes on Friday and 2 of the girls were 100% milky possibly showing a little bit of amber and one of them was 80% clear / 20% milky, all of them have had the white pistils receed with them showing mainly red hairs. They look ready to chop but from doing my research on here you guys recommend chopping them when the trichomes are milky/amber. I was going to leave them in the dark for 36 hours, I know a lot of people say it does nothing but some say it develops more THC at this point and it doesn't do them any harm.. Only problem is 2 of them judging by the trichs will be ready before the other so I'm not quite sure how to get around this?
My drying method:
Once I have chopped them down I'm going to start trimming the leaves and hang them individually in my grow tent (light removed) about half way down and leave them in there for just over a week in the dark with the intake and exhaust fans running. Once the stems are able to snap I am going to trim them further and remove the stems. Question: Some of the smaller stems with bud will dry a lot quicker than say the main cola, what should I do here? Leave it in with them or stick them in the curing pots earlier?
My curing method:
Once I have all the nuggets of bud I have 3 large 3 litre glass jars with air tight lids which I will place each strain in and leave in a cool dark place for the whole time. I am going to cure for 2 weeks, once a day for around 20 mins I will empty the jars out onto a newspaper and jiggle the buds around and get some fresh air in the jars. I will continue doing this for the 2 weeks of curing but will there be any noticeable signs as to when they are perfectly cured?
I hope everything I have listed is following the right steps as this is my first time and can also be read by lots of other people as a "how to" once their ready to harvest
Any advice or comments will be greatly appreciated, thanks for reading!
