Either the strangest male flower, or new growth?

Okay, im normally pretty good at telling the diff between male/female. but this is freakin weird looking... these are the only 2 "Possible preflowers on this plant. they look more like new growths as if from FIMming or something. but this was not fimmed. just a christmas tree

Most of my other pants are showing female, not a single one has shown me balls yet... out of 16 plants, 7 females, 0 males so far.

Unfortunately, this one i have been babying and taking the best care of from seed because it has shown the best growth. including node space, leaf vitality, and strength.

So im really hoping i dont have to boot this one in the nuts... whats the verdict guys

Vegged for 7 weeks. Turned lights to 12/12 last night when i plugged in the HPS. my plants are all about 12-15 inches tall, a few that i fimmed are at about 9 inches.

Im usein the full FF pack, including solubles. This is my firt grow that isnt just putting them outside and keeping them watered... and honestly, this is not that freakin hard. i dont get how people fuck up so bad their first time. things are amazing :-) not 1 dead leaf, not 1 crooked stalk. its all kinda picture perfect, except for the fact that i have 16 plants in a 3.5x6 space. i need to get rid of at least 4. lol... just dont want it to be this one. if its new growth, then hell ya for mutant plants.

Im expecting at least .5gpw. easy. if not more.

Hope semeones seen these wierd shoots before.

ummmm no? im well aware of what the stalk nug is...and those come from the branches that come from in between the trunk and the fan leaf. and if you can see from the picture, that's already there. this is entirely new growth... growing out of where a preflower would be. and like i said, this is not my first grow...

Wish i could -rep cause thats retarded.

this morning i checked my plants, and 4 more plants showed these same things (Including 2 confirmed females the other 2 i cant tell)... they are shooting off new pairs of leaves at the nodes where there should be prefllowers...

This s happening on 2 plants i fimmed, and 2 i didnt prune at all

this is either really awesome, or really bad.
doesn't make sense...
Anyone else gone through this?

Okay WTF, just found a 5th one of these wierd new growths. On a female... On one side of the node is a female pistil with hairs coming out, and where the corresponding pistil should be is a pair of leaves growing out of the stem... They don't even really have a branch behind then. Just like a plant is bursting out of the stem... What could of caused these. And I can tell now that these are NOT male preflowers.

Has anyone else had these new growth come out of non-fimmed plants?
Could they just be robust plants?

My girl has the same thing she has pistils all over but around 15 nodes high there are two new growths where the pistils should be, they are over a month old and haven't grown much if any since I first seen em. I haven't flowered her yet but other then that she seems to be 100% girl, time will tell though...

Id love to hear what these will turn into... its not like fimming that has an extra branch come out of where another branch already came out of. its growth pointing straight out where a preflower would be.

does this mean its a very healthy plant? or powerful vegetative strain?

will it grow bud?

i think your over analyzing honestly. there are no 2 people alike, nor are there 2 plants alike. different plants lean different ways yaknowatamean. light up. ;)

im gonna have to agree with one11 wouldnt sweat it, and you said you just switched to 12/12 on the 26th? leaf growth wont stop overnight coulda been beginning to grow earlier, im almost done with first indoor grow as well and i had new growth until visible nugs began forming wouldnt stress about it at all.

So, as of this morning, 9/16 are growing these same things. I hve 6 strains. It's not just 1 strain that is doing this. I know that plants look different depending on who grew them, even if they are all clones from the same mom. Could this jut be a trait of "my"weed? Random new branches comin out of where a pistil should be? I now have 5 branches growing out of 1 node of one of my Non-fimmed plants. I don't consider this a bad thing so It can't qualify as "over analyzing" just wondering if someone else has had this. :-) and will these growths steal nutes and energy from the already existing branches? Should I clip the new growth to focus the energy on what is already there?

I already said they are happening on females... and they arent male flowers, the are new leaves, in pairs, with 3 leaves each.

well on the pl;ant that i'm looking at it does not have pistols but is growing new growth. sry but theys no spots for the pistols to come out of. lol
