I think I'm addicted to fast food

Man, I just ate a double cheeseburger, fries and a drink from Whataburger and I feel like shit. I don't know why I eat fast food. It always makes me feel so shitty afterward, but I crave it when I'm really hungry, like I was this afternoon. I know I should and actually do want to stop eating fast food altogether, but I always cave eventually and get a bunch. I guess I'm going to have to treat it like other drugs and just quit cold turkey. Of course, like most legal drugs, it's always on t.v. and everywhere else, so it's really hard to avoid. Ugh, I've eaten this kind of crap for years and I think I just need to stop. Opinions? :twisted:

Luckily, I have a pretty decent metabolism and I'm not really overweight. It's more the way it makes me feel after eating it and the long-term health issues.

The key is buying good foods, and preparing them at home, and then taking them with you when you are on the run. I like bringing a piece of fruit to work with me, its just what i need to avoid the empty stomach feeling. Or some veggies. Or a sandwich. Fast food has energy, in the form of carbohydrates protein and fat, but little to no nutrition. It causes your blood sugar to rise rapidly, and then fall rapidly. Your body is not happy with fast food, and lets you know by feeling shitty. Its all about produce and meat.

taco bell isn't that bad . . . but I guess that depends on where you go.

I feel like shit when I eat at mcdonalds or burger king. . . . but taco bell doesn't seem to do that.

I mean I've heard of people getting sick off of taco bell but damn I haven't heard nearly as much bad shit about taco bell as the other places.

I don't like the way taco bell recycles meat. I've been off fast food awhile now though. Had a baconator, fries, and a shake the other day. Had my stomach tore up, feelings like I had to much tequila the night before. Stick with low-fat, fruits and vegetables, and no more processed foods and your body will thank you later.

Just don't eat it. Everybody thinks fast food is great... have you ever had a REAL burger? real french fries? I'll pick those over fast food ANYDAY. Not too mention it's cheaper to cook real food than eat that shit.

Maybe you're not addicted, maybe you just have no self control...

Try to invest in a george forman grill and make your own burgers.They taste so good on it.

Yeah, my wife is a good cook and we mostly eat healthy, home cooking, but every few days, I just get a craving for gnarly fast food. It's either the salt or the fat that I think I'm addicted to. That, or they're putting crack in the burgers.

just eat what the fuck you wanna eat, fuck what other people say, i eat burgers and shit every single fuckin day, am i fat, no, i have the munchees 24/7, today i ate 3 large pizzas 2 big mac large meals and fuck knows how many chocolates and cokes etc, its down to you, even though i eat all this junk, i do exercise, i walk to people houses most of the day and night deliverin weed, i run from the police, i ride a bike, i fuck my wifey, i smoke fags ,its all about exercise man, also lil tip, if youre really craving fast food, have a ciggarete or 5, usually takes the hunger away, works while ur waitin the for food wit ur mandem durin a session and you get the munchees hard, rememba u can eat as much crap as u like so far as u work it off, the exercise will release endorphins and seratonin aswell makin u feel even better, if u think ur not bothered to do exercise 1 day, walk down a main road and light up a fat sativa spliff, when you hear the sirens or see feds, ull wna run.

Your addicted to fast food the same way the rest of America is, it is tasyy, fast and cheap. When I am high the last thing i want to do is get up and cook but, once I get into the kitchen I am in my world and just go to town. I can make any fast food meal at home and make it better with fresh ingredients and it will be much more healthy. I prefer cooking my own food because I control what goes into, kind of like growing your own bud. If you feel the urge to eat a burger from McDonalds just imagine yourself on the shitter with the MCSHITS for the next 3 hours, that should deter your cravings a bit.

it was over th whole day, im not gonna lie, the first big mac meal is coz i woke up late so thought fuck it might aswell, the 2nd, i was shopping wid my roomate for games n shit, we found a nice quiet alley, had a quik blunt, got the munchees and went mc ds, damn i love those chocolate milkshakes, but there only good at large, medium is too small, the pizzas, i eat pizza every day, the place is just at topa the road so its like a minute walk and a 5 min wait for the pizza, today i didnt have shit to do so me n 2 of my roomates just spent all day blazin and eatin.

This is totally right and it's what I do most of the time. I actually make turkey burgers at home and put them on whole grain buns with fresh veggies. I thought about that today, but then thought, shit, I don't want to go to the store, buy all the ingredients, take them home and prepare them. I knew, however, that I wasn't going to like the fast food burger near as much as mine, but I just gave into the easy way. Sure enough, the burger and fries have waay too much salt on them and the veggies are just awful. The "lettuce" was completely white or yellow and pickles were all limp and tasteless. I'm still feeling the whole meal sitting in my stomach like a rock and that was almost five hours ago. LOL, McShits.

And ukgrower, I bet you're fairly young, man. No offense for being younger, but you probably won't have that badass metabolism forever. When I was in my teens and twenties, I ate whatever the fuck I wanted and never felt any side effects. I'm in my late 30's now, and everything starts to slow down a bit around now, so I have to exercise and eat fairly well to not gain weight.
