Bubbles in a res? better safe then sorry? or not necessary?

Is it the way i word my questions i've been growing for over 10 yrs in soil this is my first ebb n flow not my first grow. This shit does not help me one bit . sorry

Use the air stones. I have two large airstones in my res and my plants are very happy. They help keep the nutes aereated and it also keeps the nutes from setteling on the bottom.

Airstones are necessary for several reasons.

1. Stirring the solution
2. Oxidizing the solution - the whole point of hydroponics
3. Keeping the solution free of pathogens - oxygen kills bacteria
