nervanuh, you can always make some bubblehash from the male plant's :P
That's true. Is that the stuff where you mix it in a big container with ice and then strain it through a series of mesh bags? I think I've seen a video on making it. I think we will either consider making hash with the male plant/plants, or use it to cook with (brownies/tea). So far there is one definate male, two have promising female properties and one hasn't shown sex yet. Thanks for the tip, I have more research to do on making bubblehash. Cheers.

I decided to indulge my crafty side and make some type of cover for the closet grow space. It needed to be reflective, have vents for intake and exhaust, not get too hot, and limit the amount of light that escapes the space...:-?.

I pondered for a while... then I went to the store and walked around until I found something that sparked my imagination. Posterboard:hump:. I used two big pieces and with a few measurements and a few hours work, I made reflectors for some lights, some imprmptu exhaust ducting, and the cover for the space. I used thumbtacks to keep it closed, it's bent on one side to let it 'swing' open when not tacked to the wall.

It has a rectangle vent (took a long time to cut out by hand with carpenter's knife) at the bottom for 2 intake fans and a circular ducted exhaust vent at the top. The new extra fan helps to keep it cooler too.

Oh, I also found the yard sign section at the store, and just for fun, I picked up a little sign that I thought was most suitable for the situation....

Here are some pics of the end result, as well as some pics of the clones and close ups of the big plants... I am about 90% sure, but can anyone else confirm that these are female???

And also, If anyone knows why my clones are starting to droop and curl, please let me know the cause, or if it is normal for them to do that. We used rooting gel, planted into water soaked peat pellets surrounded by soil, topped with moss. I try to mist them about once a day. If you have any pointers, please let me know. Cheers!:peace:

Looking great! Good job.

As for the nitrogen deficiency, ive always heard using coffee grounds (used) will raise nitrogen levels, however it will also lower the pH of the soil. If it were me, I would simply give them a good dose of 15-30-30 or something along those lines to at least remedy some of the problem. Your going to need more P-K right now though during flowering.

Hope that helps.

even though your in flowering you shoudlnt be losing nitrogen so early in flowering. I would hit them one time with some veg nutes something like 27-13-14 or along that lines. then re administer the flowering nutes. That should put some nitrogen back into your plants. Hope that helps.

Love the grow box setup you ve got going here. reminds me of what i used to use before i upgraded to a portable closet from walmart. gotta love walmart. Where did you get the 150watt cfls. The best i could do were some 68watt(300watt equivalent) bulbs from home depot. i dont have a current journal but im about to start a flowering journal. I have a mazar and big bud 3 1/2 weeks in. Ill let ya know when its up so you can check mine out. Happy growing bro.

Thanks for the tips! I really do appreciate it. Ocean forest isn't too bad, the plants seem to have taken nicely to it since the transplant. No real problems except the nitrogen def. in one of the plants. I put them back on veg light cycle after they had shown their sex, removed the male and cut clones of the females. The females are still growing pistols like crazy even in veg light cycle, is that normal?

Thanks again for the tips, I'll be watchin' your grow too! Cheers :)

Just a quick update for everyone...transplated one of the clones today as it was root bound in the pot, checked another one and the roots haven't come out of the peat puck yet so we'll wait a few more days and check them again.

We cut down the male plant and are drying out all the leaves and stems. Once they're dry we're gonan grind them up and hopefully we'll have enough to make this batch of brownies I found a recipe for online. The recipe doesn't call for making weed butter, but instead using the "green powder" as a partial substitute for flour. I'll let you know how they turn out, if they're good I'll post the recipe on here to share. Unless anyone would like to share a recipe they know is good.

I didn't think anyone needed pictures of the transplanted clone, i'll wait until all of them are transplanted to post some pictures.

Update on the nitrogen defficiency on our kush plant...leaves are still turning yellow, but we have uped the nutes again, so hopefully that helps some.

I know its been awhile since we've uploaded some new pictures, so i just took some :)

I have transplanted all of the clones now, one of them didn't quite have enough roots coming out of the puck for my liking so it is still under its dome.

We had increased the amount of nutes the "big" plants are being given awhile ago...still haev the same problem with the green straw (indica) plant. We even tried giving it more nutes that the other 2, the leaves just keep getting yellower. Really not sure what to do anymore. any suggestions would be great! I have included pictures of the yellowing just incase I was wrong in my diagnosis of a nitrogen defficiency. If I am please let me know!!

Enjoy the pictures(crappy quality I know, sorry but I'm shaky) thanks for keeping "tuned in" on our grow and as always let us know what you think!:peace:
