White Widow, Pineapple Chunk, C - Train, and BagSeed Grow! + LST

how much longer do you guys think i should veg? i was thinking one more week or so?
and i should be picking up a hid light within the next week or so, if i get 400 instead of a 600
do you think my yield would be alright? how much do you think i will yield? leave me some
advice or something! :)

I think what your doing is really awesome.. me personally.. I have debates my self on when to bloom Im always trying to get more and more colas from LST. I dont think you would have much a problem blooming within the next week or so and get decent results.. Ive seen plants similar in your size and get some where are 4 to 6 ounces.. hope this helps..

ah sweet man, i think i'm gonna start with in the next few days, they've seem to get really big the last few days haha
and one more question for you or anyone to answer, does it matter what spectrum of lights they are under when i start
flowering them, like can i start 12/12 light with the 6500k and then switch to 2700k with they start showing sex with the
same results as if i started with 2700k

thanks
right when i switch to 12/12

let me know if you can answer my question above, anyone...c'mon? someone has to be able to answer it!

tell me if i can be doing anything different.

They will flower best under your light with the most red spectrum. You could put them into flower now, the longer you wait the better they will grow. A more mature plant buds better/faster than a younger plant. I would say either go now, or wait another week or two. Your grow space is a factor as well. How much do you think those plants will stretch, and if they stretch too much can you control the height. Things to think about.

You should have a mix of red and blue spectrum lights on the plant the whole time, they need both, I would use at least one of each color spectrum you have, the better spectrum you have all around the better they will do. More red is great, but having a more full spectrum is even better.

i'll just buy a few more 2700k cfls and let them go another week or so in veg and then i'll switch to 12/12 and i'll go buy a hid light as soon as they show sex so in 2 or 3 weeks from now

everything's still looking great - keep it up. you can veg anytime you want.

better to get the light sooner than later to work out any ventilation issues you might get with the hotter lights. pull your plants out of the grow space and make sure you have a stable system before you risk your plants. you're probably better off with a 600 watt light as you're likely to end up with 7 or 8 fairly sizable females.

well i only have 6 plants and 3 of them are regular seeds so i was counting on 1 or 2 of them being males and just keeping one female and one male for the pollen because i'm going to pollinate a few of them to get more seeds. so i'm probably just gonna run a 400 watt hps with some cfls for side and underlighting, does that sound alright? and i'm also about to buy a air conditioner for the widow, so that will help alot with the temps also

i counted your first pics, guess you had multiples of same plant? so yea, a 400 watt light should do it. and you'll have no problems with heat with a properly sized a/c, you can even consider adding co2.

yeah i was thinking about doing that, i have a 20oz co2 tank already from a paintball gun, would that work? i'd just need a regulator wouldn't i? i don't know how much those are or where to buy one lol

so they are one month old today, since sprout. they are looking pretty good. i have about 300 watts of cfls on them right now, i suppose they will fill out a lot during flowering and double in size so i can't wait haha i will be getting a 400 watt hid light in about 2 weeks and i'm going to start 12/12 cycle in 1 week.

i transplanted the rest of them into 3 gallon grow bags. i never realized how much soil it took haha geez!

well here they are at one month old!

Yeah I have seen people use co2 tanks from a paintball gun. I think 1 20oz lasts about a week, So if you have 2, you can use one and get the other filled. And just keep switching them. People play paintball all year so it never looks suspicious getting those filled. If they ask if you need paint or anything else just tell the shop worker that you get your paint off the internet in bulk or something like that. They make 24 oz co2 tanks for paintball guns they would last a little longer. Either way they are not that expensive, and most shops when they sell a tank fill it for free at least the first time. And it usually cost 2-3 dollars to get get one filled. You would need a regulator like you said.

To be honest co2 is the last thing you should worry about. Get everything else just right, then add co2 into your grow scenario.

They look beautiful. Lovely indica dominant hybrids, at least thats what they all look like leaf wise. It sure does take a lot of soil to fill those, my last startup I had 30 of those 3 gallons to fill. And I had to mix the soil indoors in a big tupperware container, what a pain in the ass that was.Managed to get all of those in a 24 inch deep by about 6 foot wide closet. I was going for a sea of green, but there were some males that had to be pulled out, plus the 5 autos are out now so there is more room. I just dont like the bags because the are a pain in the ass to flush.

wow 30? damn that'd be painful on the back haha
yeah they are a pain in the ass even when watering
because soon as you pick them up you squeeze all the water
out of the soil and drips everywhere haha

yeah i was just thinking about adding co2, but when i looked
at how much the regulators are, i was like maybe next time.
i might just do a homemade co2 and add some molasses to
the water to fatten up the buds.

does anyone know how long it takes for clones to take root with out any hormones or clone gel/powder?
because they hydro store is about 40 minutes from here and i don't want to go all the way there for some
gel and i think i saw the gel is pretty expensive for a little bottle. so i was thinking about building a little clone
box to see if my reg. white widows are girls? i need to trim some of the lower colas that aren't getting enough light.

so i got them out today for some fresh water and a hair cut and i took a quick picture because i couldn't resist. haha well here they are 1 day over one month old.

is it okay to trim some of the lower fan leaves to let the light travel farther down at this stage of growth? they are still vegging and will be vegging for at least another week. let me know.

I dont clip off any fan leaves. You can do what You want but every fan leaf is like a solar panel for your plant. Some people do it later on in the flowering stage, but I just let them go, I cut most of my lower growth off anyway to let the upper stuff grow better. If you want to get some light to the lower stuff start pulling those tops over, LST them. That will open up the bottom to some good light. I just dont worry too much about lower stuff, the upper part of the plant, the top and the buds directly below will be your best and heaviest anyway.
