I plan to grow under the lamp 400HPS
I do it Scrog!

I have a question
I plan on a pot size of 15L ... Is that OK?

Seller at the store told me i should first grow in a little pot and then change to a large flowerpot,
But I can not do because of Scrooge's network.

1. Can I get started in a pot of 15L?

2. How often to water pot that size?

3. How do I prevent over-watering?

(this is my first time in soil... the last grow was on hydropinics)

There are other things that I missed?

(its a clone)
Early plant growth there are not many roots,
I fear he did not drink the water,
in Pot size like that, the water will be decay.

I apologize, I did not explain myself right,
The intention was that I will going to grow clone and not seed.
I'll take the clone, once I know everything my growth conditions is good.

Yes you can start your plants in larger pots, it will NOT cause any problems and will actually instead help you to avoid some possible problems.

Being worried about over-wet conditions due to larger pots is not a concern. It is not like larger pots will magically overcome gravity and retain large amounts of water high up in the pots, they will drain just the same as small pots would. I always use large pots and when my plants are small I will water them leaving the drip trays mostly full. The plant's lowest roots when young are no where near the bottom of the pot and not in what would be very wet in the bottom several inches of soil with water standing in the drip trays so it does not matter if soil well below your plant's root is too wet. Water cannot wick up through the soil any faster than moisture is transpired by the plants and evaporates from the soil so it is impossible for roots high up in large pots to be in too much moisture.

The only difference doing that is a few days longer time to allow the soil to dry out previous to watering again.

Brick: I'm relatively new here, but I have read many of your posts, and just wanted to say that you are by far one of the most helpful chaps on here. You never give any condescending attitude, just helpful pointers and advice. It is much appreciated! +rep

Thank you for those kind, and overgenerous, words. I say overgenerous because I am a crusty old codger and I can be rough as a cob and now and then like anyone else I will read something and I am unable to keep myself from making some rather sarcastic condescending remark. I enjoy helping if I am able too, but some people are just beyond help.

Now and then a person will read something that is just too much and they are powerless to reply with anything other than something like, 'Do they have a name for what is wrong with you? If so maybe after Jerry Lewis brings in enough money to cure muscular dystrophy he will start a telethon to help you too.'

It just happens at times. Everyone has their limits. I'm no different in that way.
