i personally made the switch from 18/6 to 12/12 immediately. I had been reading all over the place on how to do it and most peopel said just flip it when its time for flower and be done with it. Some posts also suggested 36 hours of darkness before switch. i would think what your doing could mimick nature though , could be good. Id like to see some other posts on what people think about gradually switching cycles. What nutes are you using for flower? So here an update what i have done....
So far im getting my girl ready for flower... so another 2 weeks well 1 week from sat.
I have done:
Cut hours from 24/7 to 15-9
cut out all soil nutes and just feed rizo through soil.
foliage feed with a very light dose of 6-4-4 a little heavier then what is recommend.
plant was on this for 3 days now and has grown 2 inches. lots of under growth happing.
will see how this goes for another week as i will turn to 12-12 and start flower nutes on the 18th
Please let me know if my experiment with this is ok for my plants health or am i stressing it too much. this is why im working it into flower stage to not stress her out too much.
Comments are WELCOME. updated pictures in 3 days
Yeah you can re-veg the plant after flower. You have to leave some of the lower nugs on it and then put into a veg cycle. I have one of my plants in re-veg as we speak. It will take about a month before you will see any new veg growth. It is extremely stressful to the plant.Hey i got a question and i could probably take the time to look it up but please keep the response short so that im not cheating by asking instead of reading...
After flower the plant doesnt just die does it.. It could be used to flower again?
Because in the wild a plant dies just before winter. When you grow indoors you tell the plant what season it is.so then in the wild its a plant that flowers then dies its so weird
good response nightmare. Yeah ... cold weather kills this one off. If your growing indoors you can reveg like yall were talkin about up there ... but why? Ive heard that revegging a) is extremely stressful to the plant b.) lowers potency of clones taken off the revegged plant .Because in the wild a plant dies just before winter. When you grow indoors you tell the plant what season it is.
