Im a complete noob too. 2 weeks into my first grow. So, not sure how accurate this reply is, but in my amateur opinion your plant has stretched due to insufficient light - with the light you do have being too far away. Not sure whether trying to flower them would be worthwhile, would need someone more experienced to make suggestions on that.

I would top it, lst to keep it low, n add cfl lights To make sure the new growth doesn't get stretched.

Yes. Topping = Cutting off the main stem below the last nodes. Your plant will start to bud back and create more branches lower on the stem. It usually done to try and get more bud sites and/or to create a more bushy plant.

he means the growth tip, where you can see the next node(set of leaves) comin up from the stem, the strecting in natural for a window r outside plant, its unavoidable, the sun is [FONT=Trebuchet MS, Arial, Helvetica]149,597,892 kilometers away like.

if ya can get a couple of cfls on it you can get it strong enough to survive outside, say by the end of july you could plant out. i kno about the weather im across the pond in Dublin

yeah, but it's already stretched and is going to continue to stay thin and elongated until more lights are added.

Yes, I can see its already stretched to infinity and beyond. I was simply answering your question as to what "Topping" is.

At this point, buy lights...start over? Your going to continue to get the same results unless you buy a lighting setup or plant outdoors. The choice is yours.
