i went with pure 2700 bulbs but thats just me. I used 138 watts for my one plant. I believe its enough to flower two plants, but naturally if you can go with more watts they will be happier.
I like the set up bud. I use 3 y splitters per socket to fit 4 bulbs per socket but I like that cab bud.Yo sorry about not getting back to you with photos earlier... just been busy. I had a chance to take pics of the light setup... basically its a three way splitter with bulb attachments all hanging on these bike hangers I picked up from right aid. You could also use a power strip and attach it in some way to the top of the cabinet...
I disagree with you on this 1 though sorry. I use both bulbs for flower just use more than the other. I have roughly 10 of the 6500's and about 4 of the 2600's (I do believe they are) and my ladies love it. I will post a few new pictures when I'm done constructing and rewiring my new flower room I finally got out of the small ass flower area I had before but now I'm facing electrical issues. Oh well I will overcome any obstacle that get's in my way of growingyeah those splitters will help you fit alot more bulbs... I would stick with around 6500 for veg and 2700 for flowering and you should be in good shape. I wouldn't try any combination of the two, cause they are both good for their specific purposes.
Well as a general rule I use higher temperature bulbs for veg... although I do have one 5500k in my cab, a little lower than my big bulb. I'm sure its doable to use lower temperature bulbs, just like its possible to veg under a hps, but I think the majority should be in the 6500k range, or there will be stretching, and for small spaces eliminating the stretch factor is a big deal. having said that, if theres enough bulbs around the plant, the stretching will be minimal, just depends on the setup I suppose. oh I just painted and put a door on my cab, so now theres more light and more stealth! will post a few pics soonI like the set up bud. I have used 2200k HPS for veg and never had stretching problems on numerous accounts. The stretching has to do with weather or not the plant is getting enough useable light rather than just light. If you use cfls your plants will stretch somewhat. If you use hps at a far distance there will be minimal stretching and if you use MH there usually isn't any stretching unless you are using it at a far distance like the hps.Well as a general rule I use higher temperature bulbs for veg... although I do have one 5500k in my cab, a little lower than my big bulb. I liek the paint and the door, nice additions. Here's a few pics of my recent modifications to my cab... added a hinged door and painted the whole inside flat white... the top is still lined with mylar (roof). Also put in a usb powered fan which is plugged into my iphone outlet, to give the plants some more breeze. I'm pretty stoked on the result, just took a trip to home depot and my friends to cut the wood for the door. clones inside are a trainwreck (back right) NL (front right) and blue dream (back middle)
