LED lighting produces light fluffy buds..this is not what we're after!hey would it be possible to start off auto plants with a 400 watt hps? would it be better to mabye start with a little led and then switch to the hps after a certain amount of time?

And get nice stretched plants?I would use the led for the first 2 or 3 weeks to get them started. Then switch to the HPS.
Putting a HPS as close as you can to a seedling/young plant? Simply bad advice.LED lighting produces light fluffy buds..this is not what we're after!
Go with the HPS light, keep it as close as possible to your plants.
Happy growing.
And exactly why would the led stretch them? The distance you would need to keep a HPS from the seedlings would probaly stretch them more than the LED.And get nice stretched plants?
No way..
Well you must be doing it wrong then. And exactly why would the led stretch them? The distance you would need to keep a HPS from the seedlings would probaly stretch them more than the LED.
