it's nice enough of you all to stop pumping our gulf full of oil long enough to rally together a sports team. GO BRITAIN!!!!!
what the fuck has football got to do with oil leaking from an american built oil rig, are 39% of bp share's still owned by americans ?

The only reason it was a game was because if you noticed, you never heard Rooney's name at all.
After the game, one of the announcers made a good point - "Rooney didn't touch the ball until the 17th minute and didn't get a touch inside the 18 until late in the first half."
Although I am sure we will both make it out of our group, England better be worried after the showing of their GK. Also, Altidore missed 2 shots - a header and his one run down the left. It could have very easily gone our way.

Good game nonetheless.

Yeah , we never heard Rooneys name because he was in the Americans back pocket throughout.

Yay for ties... Man I love soccer, the only thing more exciting than the USA tie 1-1, was watching the French game tied 0-0. Two hours and nothing to show for it, yay!

The last time i checked this was an England Vs USA World cup thread , i dont mind if you prefer going off topic , if i were an English fan id not want to stay on topic either. The Americans were no superstars and made many schoolboy mistakes , yet totally and completely outplayed England.

fair point back on topic, that was the worst england performance i've seen for along time, but still good enough for a draw.

I didnt say they were all over England , they contained England well and didnt allow them to play any kind of game.I thought the Americans much better organised and surprised as anyone else that they can play a bit.
I didnt come up the clyde on a banana boat and know that was nowhere near the capability of the English side , so on questioning why the obvious reason would seem to be the opposition.
I thought the Americans very unlucky not to take the win , the little guy smacking the post near the end , that had the keeper beat , he's useless , doesnt even look confident , sheep in the headlights look about him.

you did'nt say contained, you said outplayed, i would have agreed with you.
yes that little guy was unlucky the ball did'nt bounce off the keeper off the post and into the goal

Contained , outplayed , dictated to how the game will be played.Id noticed it during the game and early on in this thread, the Americans were dictating the pace of things and sucker punched England. All the credit has to go to team USA , coming back from such an early loss , and unlucky not to win.Id see no reason the Americans are not favorite to win the group now..seriously.

They looked like a team , played like a team , recovered from setback as a team. Now consider England and the reaction to the US goal , notably not one single English player went near the goalkeeper to console him nor did they at half time.England had its scapegoat , a less than desirable result was therefore ok.There was 45 minutes left to rectify the goalkeepers error , questions must be asked and obviously English fans are not liking the ineviteble answers.
The English manager , the highest paid manager of the tournament lol and a dysfunctional team of donkeys.

it's owed by the brits. it's their responsibility. dodge made my truck, if i run someone over it's my fault.

39%, so? come tomorrow half of that will be sold off. by the end of the month they'll be lucky to be in the black.

in most cases it would be your fault. unless there was a recall. was there a recall on BOP's?

or is it the fault of the shareholders?

last time i checked 39% is not the majority.

it's british petroleum. it's the brits. pretty obvious. not even much of a debate. obviously trying to pass the buck.

BP should hire the England football squad PR man , they are always able to identify a scapegoat and come out smelling like a rose.
