Question about LST (Noooo, LST isn´t what you was thinking it was :D )

So, my little girls are starting on the 3rd pair of leafes, and I´m going to try LST on 2 of them.

I´ve found the way, and a plan on how, but I was wondering how many bends you could make, or put in another way, what should be the limit?

In a 30x30cm pot you could in theory bend it so the main stem will be approx 1mtr, but is this possible? And is it worth it?

Pros and cons please?

you can twist and bend them all u want the long as its in small incriments. try and bend it down in a orderly pattern to avoid making a spidery mess outa the plants as i did the first time i lst'd. u can use fishing weights,twisty ties,pipe cleaners,twine or anything else that will not be to tight or too fine to were it will cut into the stems.goodluck

Thats stupid. You never want to bend the plant "mercilessly", you will stress her out. Be good to your plant and she will be good to you.

And yes you can use any pattern you want harvester just try not to stress the plant to much when you are doing it. I dont really advocat lst but if your working with less than ideal lights than it can help.

When there young i do it.. so its not really stressfull because there main thingy is bendier

Thats stupid. You never want to bend the plant "mercilessly", you will stress her out. Be good to your plant and she will be good to you.

Didn´t even comment on Steph, I agree, thats stupid, I ask exactly for the reasons your giving the advice. It will be soooo smooth that she won´t even notice that she whent the wrong way (lights will be enough for any 2 plants, but I want them low with good yield......)

I feel you man. And no disrespect to steph, I just don't agree. I usually just tie mine down in a little a X type pattern. But I top my plants and then lst the two tops opposite ways and than the two lesser tops the opposites ways, so it looks like a compass almost. And then I just let her grow, but the light is still evenly distributed to the buds. It works but me, I just did it on my most recent grow in my journal, i'll have pics up today. Your way seems righteous tho man, just be gentle.

Since I have 6...., think I´m going to try your compass style at least on one, at which node do you top?

See, this is my second, the first...., well, don´t wan´t to talk about that one But I am satisfied with their growth, and for allowing me to experiment hard on them.... They teached me so much! So now I feel I should try growing complicated with more knowledge (far from enough) that hopefully will bring me to a partial success One is going to grow withouth being touched, 2 lst as described, one topped hopefully to 6 colas, one your style, and the last is still uncertain. That if they all survive and grow healthy.

Ok here are two top pics of my girls and how I lst them. I top them at the 1st true node (after the first 5 leaf set) when they are about 2-3 weeks old maybe a little older depending on how I feel. Then I just take pipe cleaners and spread em out to get 4 top buds. Really you can top to have 4 main colis(spelling I know) but I don't like to do that seems to unnatural for me and I've seen/read people who don't have the best results with that, allthough some do.

This is just my way man, you can check my journal if you want to see more, but try it or modify to your liking. Really there are so many ways you can lst a plant.
