are you useing a lot of superthrive,,,, if used incorrectly on a healthy plant it will kill your plants, it is mainly ment to be used if they are dieing.. but can be used with a healthy plant.... also use 18/6 for your lighting peroid for vegging.... they need more rest then 4 hours cuz they grow when the light is off aswell as when lights are on..... you said they were a month old??? have you been feeding them or just giving them water?, one is lookin pretty healthy to me.. other one looks burnt... more light till make them grow quicker... also moving your light farther away will make them grow faster but till also make the nodes streatch

i would feed them some sort of veg food and they will grow..yes 18/6 will prolly make em grow a bit faster cuz just like every living thing a plant also needs to sleep an rest or you will year them right out...just like when we stay awake for too long we get worn out well plants are the same as us and they need food to be happy and healthy...and ya will prolly bush out a bit more that the top is gone.. righter as in greener? cuz that is a good thing if the new growth is green again.. meh they dont double in size some strains will grow more than others during flower but they wont double or mine would be growing out of my 6.5 foot tall box.. but they will grow a bit when you stitch the light to 12/12...

what is a good veg food i can use for my DWC? ok ima start giving it less light.. the top brighter as in well a yellowish green to it ill show post a pic and the right one did get real green unlike the left one where im seeing these leaves change it may be the strain of the 2 plants.. i stressed the left one most it wus in a pot of soil then i trasplanted when i got my dwc and he is taller than he looks but i set him down to the bottom so the roots would grow threw idk if that may be a problem

Add more light! at least 4 26w cfl's per plant!
Have a fan exchanging the air? You need three fans (or two if the intake is cleverly placed).
Lay off the veg ferts a bit, they are looking burt on some tips and on the bottom.
Ditch the Superthrive.
Make sure your water temp never exceeds 72 degrees in dwc (I would have it no more then 68 if it was me).
Either get beneficial bacteria and organic ferts or use a light dose of regular store bought bleach @ a ratio of 2.5ml per 50 gallons with chemical ferts adding the same amount every 24 hours.

if you read again he said he has only been giving it water no ferts or nutes i can bet anything that it was the superthrive that did it... used to much,,, but agreed dont use the superthrive.. unless plant is really dieing

if you wanna cover em quickly just tape a piece of black paper over the holes that arent being used

Once the plant exits its seedling phase they can be pumped with light. @ optimal conditions each plant should be receiving 5,000-10,000 lumens. Each bulb you have is around 1700 give or take. The more light in veg, the bigger the plant. You need light in both phases. If thats not fert burn, then its either a ph balance problem or the plant is eating itself to supply energy.

A fan must blow across the tops of the plant to facilitate fresh co2 exchange during light periods. An intake and exhaust fan needs to be exchanging the air in the room to refresh the stale co2.

You can use anything to block the light. a black plastic bag, white poly, anything... Roots do not like light. Reservoirs that have light leaks can breed infestation of algae ect...

You are going to need a hydroponic specific fert. They are yellowing because they have no Nitrogen. I would suggest GH's line because its very easy to use and cheaper then a lot on the market. If you want to do hydro organic then you will need beneficial bacteria such as Plantacillin to ward off the nasties.

SOrry man, I didn't see the later pics you posted. Its a Nitrogen deficiency for sure.
