Does flowering begin when you switch to 12/12?

Technincally, i would say the day you go 12/12.

I on the other hand, shocked my plants cuz i transplanted them the night i switched to 12/12 and the flowers took a bit longer to show, so i do try to keep that in mind when 'harvest week' looks like its beginning to approach.

Budz dont show until you start flowering. Flowering makes the plant grow budz.

and depending what type of light you have too.

e.g u cant flower if u have a 6500k CFL even if its 12/12 (unless im wrong) hehe :)

you would be wrong. im in the middle of flowering right now with 6500k bulbs (acutally 6700k, 6bulb T5HO setup). cant afford the HPS for the denser buds til later, but it will very much work, just not quite as well. if its a usable spectrum of light, its usable throughout. some just work a lil better ;)

Wrong, I have flowered experiment plants with the most lackluster of cfl lights and achieved buds. (not the biggest yeilds but still buds.)
