hello,

i am having some heat issues. i run my hid at night, that helps, but as it gets hotter an hotter, i am still at 85 over night. i have an air cooled hood, and i have an intake goining into my veg room, i plan to make this passive to the outside, this should get me by till i cn wither rewire or get a better ac unit, hopefully both.

my question is about my veg side, will it be ok to have it 85 90, i have clones mothers and vegatative plants all over here...

thanks for the help..my rez tanks are still at a happy 70

If you can keep your resevoir temps at 70 then you should be ok but if you can get your room temps down a little bit more it would help. I wish my resevoir was at 70, I just had some heat issues last week and lost a two week old OG Kush that WAS looking very nice. Good luck with your grow.

i grow ina trailer...int he back room, my flower room is in the vegroom. the flower room(right now) has an intake from the veg, and the veg has an intake from the front of trailer, which gets fresh air, air conditioned..until it is time for ht ehid to come on then ac goes off. my veg is exhausted through the roof. the flower room is vented through my light out the side.i plan on (prolly tomoorow beinging o the week adding an outside intke to the flower room to stabalize temps some m,re.

the onboard ac is old and draws amp very bad...trips the breaker when hid comes on. so i plan to get a 40 amp breaker, maybe larger and a new ac unit, with a temostat. ]
hope all works out for ya..thanks for yalls input...i have bottled ice incase of extrem rise in res temps.

u could always get a more energy eff. ac....to change the breaker,u would have to run new wire that can handle ur load
what size light do u have?

only a 400w hps... nothing enormous, i use an oversized extension cord right now...you knwo the ones on an rv...then regular 12gauge wire from there to the outlet. right now i have teh hps in a powerstrip on atimer, but i plan to put it on a dedicated outlet with my exhauste fans, they draw the most load, then wire in a box from my over size ext. cord, to have a reg 30 amp for my 2 powerstrips to run oscilating fans, pumps, and floro lights.

then i will up the amp breaker in my home fuse box and i dont know what size breaker to use for my 400w ligth and ventalation fans, thisis my question...i broke my amp meter or i would just test the rla and add em up.

a 15 or 20 amp will be fine for a 400w and misc. items
a 15 amp will handle 1800w
a 20 amp will handle 2400w

it must be the wiring to the onboard ac or the ext cord then, becausei know i am under even 1800w.

i guess i will run a larger wire to power my grow room and plug into that to power the trailers onboard componets(not that i use it anymore).

i will use the existing 30 amp breaker (i know all together im not even close to 2400w)
i will wire in the outlets with 12gauge wire...or as large as i can scrounge up...seperate from the onboard components i.e. a/c, fridge, stove, furnace, wh, and ligths
i will get a window unit ac and instal in veg room adn duct into flower room
i will install an additional outlet for the vent fans, hid lgiht, and a/c
then i will essentally have 2 circuts with dedicated outlets
one will be onborad components and other will be the grow room, i will hook the onboard com

thank you will look for amin of 10...i get around a buch of construction sites, i pick up scaps and leftovers nad such there

i appreciate the help sir...if i can ever return just shout eh?

im sur ethe ext cord or shit wire to the ac unit in the trailer is my issue.
