Are carbon filters safe for your health?

Hi,

I was wondering, if putting a carbon filter in a tent in your closet is okay? Is that hazardous at all? Are you completely safe health-wise if you are in a room multiple-hours a day that has a carbon filter in it?

Running the tent without the carbon filter is much more hazardous health-wise, I think. Also, you are made of carbon so I think you will be okay.
