how old is to old for seeds? in need of help

how long its to long for a seed to sprouting....? a week 2 week when is it time to say that seeds gorn,..... i will try puting some in the fridge ans some in the freez

i tring all meths to get them to start..

i have them all over the place some in rock wool, normal wool ,paper towl raped in glad wrap paper towl under to plates
some just in dirt some in the green house meth,

If a seed or seeds don't sprout within 10 days, I usually throw them away mainly because they will be so far behind the rest of the seeds, it'll screw up the grow in the room........... so I always plant more then I need and just use the healthiest of the sprouters.

i don't trust wikipedia for many things but they say a seed kept in optimal conditions, cool and dry with low humidity can produce a viable plant up to five years after harvest. some people say that they have seeds from vietnam over 40 years old, but i highly doubt the fact they would keep the seeds for that long and even if they did they would live that long, just sounds like and old wives tale to me.

i have heard of stories that the ancient egyptians were buried with cannabis seeds in there tombs, and thousands of years later when researchers had the time to go over those seeds they were indeed fertile! so, i suppose your seeds cant be that old!

i keep my seeds in air tight containers in a dark cool dry place and have kept for many years and have never had a problem. i wouldnt freeze my store bought seeds, but years ago i used to keep my smoke in the freezer for long periods of time and the seeds from the frozen weed have always germed. a few years ago i stopped freezing my weed and i now keep it in air tight jars in a cool dark dry place and stays fresh for a long time. i also do not buy weed anymore and i dont grow weed with seeds. but i have saved a male this year to try my luck at pollinating a few budsites for some seeds.

well i have to see i dont want to use all the seeds but i can give up at least 100 of them....

ok what am going to do is try to germ 100 seeds see witch one crack ill give them 14 day if thay fail i get rid of them ok

an in 40 years ill try the same think with 50 of the same seeds ill keep you informed togher we can slove the questions

cant do that, well i can .but i belive that all you cant tell i have has some spout really well then just curl up and die out side. it like killing a baby dude
