While it is true to people capable of logical thinking, the police have busted people and said they were over due to unrooted clones. So until it gets cleared up legally speaking, unrooted clones add to your count.

If it's in a jar cure'in you can bet your ass they'll count it no matter how wet it is. Just dail in your grows, it's not that hard when ya only pull a couple a week every 2 weeks. With our plant count ya can't just bloom 12 at once unless ya want to start from scratch ever time and wait between harvest. Better to have fresh meds so run every 2 weeks is much better. More patients ya get the more plants ya grow.

ya I am at 4 patients and soon 5 just getting started so hopefully I can work out to harvest one/two every week or something - still gunna be difficult to keep under my 5x 2.5 ounces but just going to need to work a little extra hard to make it work, thanks for your input and ideas guys.

12 plants is a smaller number to the uneducated than half a pound or a full pound of marijuana, it'll change and they'll cut the number of plants you can have in half....

don;t forget about medibles, oils, and hash! These are great ways to use up surplus. And don;t forget that any dry trim you have around will also count towards your 2.5 ozs.

You're really relying on the patients to use a specific
amount of meds in a specific amount of time.
That's something that you can't control, and you
can't just tell plants to stop growing because
your patients don't need/want/can't afford,
whatever the case may be, any meds this month.
Or,
Is the state secretly trying to entrap us
into becoming DRUG DEALERS!!!!
and throw the whole lot of us in the pokie?

allow ANY medical MJ. People it is a start, Cali law was not where it is now the day it opened
nor were others. Give it time, petition reform, posting on here only wont solve it.
Fight to improve things, don't waste your energy complaining about them

Each patient is allowed 12 plants and 2.5 of usable, meaning "dried and trimmed" product. Its not difficult to work that into a perpetual grow... For one of my patients, we run 10 plants, harvesting 1 plant every week. Yields between 50-60 grams every friday for him.
This is a riddiculous loophole that does potentially make us criminals at one point or another...

for sure, and that is the main point I was trying to convey when I created this thread.
Sure you can harvest one plant at a time but there is a good chance your one plant will be over 2.5 Oz? Do a partial harvest if it could be over the 2.5 you say? Oh wait thats right we cant do a partial harvest because each object hanging is considered as an individual plant we are forced to harvest a whole plant at a time....Essentially we are forced to break the law in some scenarios for some period of time..
Now I am not "complaining" here as some of you put it because really this does not concern me, this stuff will be off my property quick as hell and personally I am someone with 5 patient so that I have a lot more wiggle room but what concerns me is for the patients only growing 12 plants who dont know any better. It is all just very silly I hope MDCH will make those changes soon.

Do you have someone auditing you constantly? If not, I'm sure you're not sweating it. But if so, I could see how it can be a hassle.

I just have a large stash that has a big sign, "curing, not ready until such and such date." I may get taken in, but it wont hold up in court, the law is written specifically, and technically uncured weed is not usable medecine. Just as uncured lumber is not usable. To the naked eye uncured lumber is fine, but a builder knows that if you build something with it, it will warp and fall to pieces. Just as to a grower knows teh difference betwween cured and uncured. I was told to do this from a cannabis lawyer at a seminar. So i can have pounds "curing" all day if wanted to.

Pounds curing all day! Nice.... I'd say - Get involved with at the local board meetings, let your city officials know... Even talk with your police department. As akward as it may be to go and talk to the sherriff about your grow, it's only becuause you are trying to follow the rules and be law abiding. The more "officials" who see us having trouble with thier laws, the easier it will be to fix these problems. We ALL need to work together through these grey areas.

This idea will hold up about as well as those people that say anything i type on here is pure fiction.
If LE saw your sign, whats to say they wouldn't just wait until 12:01am on the date your cure is done and
pop you for your pounds then? They've been known to be sneaky like that.
The only way i'd trust a lawyers advise is if they were defending me.
The law also states paperwork is proof until you get your card, yet the state cops don't see it that way.
Until LE gets used to enforcing the laws as written, instead of trying to rewrite them, I wouldn't take the chance
with a simple sign.

Here in Colorado the law provides for this discrepancy. Our law defines " in usable form" to mean off the stems. Therefore, as long as you leave the large stems attached, plants are not in the usable form. This does mean being creative with storage, but I'll be using air tight totes to store finished bud until I am ready to trim it down to usable form.
