I was warning the dude that its a tall ass plant.
With 11 weeks of flowering its going to be taller than many strains people are used to, these days.
Indicas are everywhere. People get used to them and get surprised by sativas.
I kinda figured since he didn't know about flowering time...

I've seen sour d get 10 feet or taller in northern climates.
yeh SD gets lanky for sure. You will want some trellising at minimum and/or a way to train it over so it doesnt get insanely tall. You could use some Bushmaster product maybe about 7 - 10 days into flower once you get there. That will help stunt the growth some.
It is also a very lengthy flower time. Definitely about 80 days or so. Just use that as rule of thumb and know how to check the plant for when its ready.

sorry to intrude but im new n dont know how to start a new jornal, could any1 help with these pics....the tip s are vertical and htere a dirty pale green colour
@Bonker.. you probably want to move that inquiry over to the problem section. you'd be hijacking the thread here since its about flowering time of SD strain vs identifying what issue you're having with your girls there. Which btw, they look unhappy. what have you been (not) doing? how old is that plant? size container? how long been in container? what are you feeding? how often?

Nah My vagina is clean and fresh...You said "And by the time it's done it's 6 feet unless you lst or scrog" I'm growing sour diesel and with less veg you wont get a 6 foot monster....just bogus info......thats all im saying........All you had to say she is a stretcher........And bushmaster works great for halting vertical growth......I use it all the time....I use it at the beginning of 12/12 run it with plain water for the first 3 days of 12/12..and they just bush out...work wonders....

I don't think bushmaster is organic.
I grow organic.
Even with very little veg time, sour D is programmed to be lanky.
While bushmaster is an option for Hydro folks, I would recommend training out the plant instead.
I've seen some monster harvests from one plant that way.
This guy is obviously not a veteran grower. At least not of this strain.
As I said, I was giving him a heads up.
He wouldn't even know bushmaster was and option (most likely) if I hadn't gotten your knickers in a twist with my earlier comment.

No prob bro Im not trying to argue or fight just trying to spread tried and true info thats all....bushmaster is organic it is just a sea kelp extract...and works for soil grows too.....and can be used as a foliar application only or a combination of both......

yeah, i have six going right now. if you started them from seed make sure they are actually sour diesel. seeds are extremly hard to get. 9-11 weeks is average for these ladies to mature. this is my third batch and my last one was done at 10 1/2 weeks. i've attached a couple of pic's of my ladies at three weeks into flowering. new to this site hopw i did it right. good luck
