And don't always go by what the breeders say the time frame is. I got 3 Slh's that are going to end up going 11 weeks and an Alaskan ice that will go twelve or more. I feel yah on the learning curve from the first grow, it's just one of those things that you have to do it, you can read all the books, help friends with theirs, have late nights trying read all this shit on the forums but until you get those thumbs green it's all theoretical. I've got two pages of shit that I've fucked up on my grow and will not do next round and I'm hoping next time it will only be one page

Wow again man, incredible first grow, first grow ever or just first indoors? So Jacks classic is your nute line? What are you using besides those two tubs in the pic?
If I may make a indoor newbie suggestion concerning harvest time, do you have a powerful magnifying glass or jewelers spectacle? If so you can determine harvest time by examining the cloudiness of your plants tricomes, when 2/3 to 3/4 of them get cloudy, it's time to pic, of coarse you have to flush so note the rate at which they are clouding and start your flush accordingly, at least 1 week, two is preferred. The sooner you pick the plants the more of a head high they will have, for some reason the clearer tricomes have a different buzz about them. Gods wisdom!

This is my first grow period. thought before i grew these blackjacks i experimented with the skywalker kush plant that was logged in the beginning of my journal. I had anticipated it would be female but turned out to be male so i had to chop it. None the less, It was a very useful plant to learn on while getting ready for the real grow. Ive heard that when the trichs are cloudy its time to harvest. What i havent heard is how im supposed to chop these samples off without stressin the crap outa my plants. Im not in the habit of stunting growth but i know some method has to exist to do it with minimal hormone disruption.

i dont know why it didnt add this ... but im using the canna line for my flowering plants , not jacks classic. I will be using Fox farm ocean forest on my tomato plants and jacks classic because it was a " fairly cheap" way to grow great veggies. Im sure you have heard great things about jacks classic. So have i : D . The canna coco is what im used to though and its how ive been growing since i started. Coco coir is the shit. If you have ANY questions bro feel free to ask. I appreciate your advice on harvesting. Ill look into how to scope those trichs today. I have the magnifying glass already : D

woot ya for sure man that scope is the way to go. in fact its making me slightly less paranoid about my early harvest due to seeding (almost 90% cluody, a few amber thrown in, and still a few clear). should mean iam not wasting my shit.

I agree i love coco myself also. I had a soil and a coco grow together and the amount of roots in the coco compared to soil was huge. Also you can grow a tree out of a 5 gallon bucket of coco literally.

i probably stressed mine to shit doing so, but i snipped right at the base of a popcorn bud, and tried to make as a clean a cut as possible.
if you are only inspecting the trichs though, you dont NEED to cut a sample, in fact i would say dont. i cut one to test my potency due to my recent issue, if it hadnt happened i probably wouldnt have cut it at all.
