Well that depends on the size of the hood but given your dimensions of your grow space I,d say you will get better coverage with 3 600w lights not to mention you get the most light per watt out of the 600s they are the most efficent lumens per watt proven fact.

600 watts will NOT put off enough light after you reach over 4' with it. 1000's are made to reach the 5' width of your grow area.

If you use the 600's you would only be able to use the middle area of your grow. The plants on the sides wont get much light.

Er, im going to have to disagree. 3, 600w systems would be just fine for your grow. You need to space them correctly, and use specific hoods to disperse your light as needed.

Dont agree? Check out these guys...they are using industrial lights....no hoods ;)

They had 3, 600w bulbs....looks like they did alright :D

Skip to 6:00 to see them setting up their lights...

You quote links.

I quote my own experience.

Good luck with your choice.
Dont take it personal, its just a fact. (depending on the bulb brand) You will have more lumens, and be able to cover more area with the 3x600 option. 1000w bulbs can cover more area....when its suspended on a street light poll...like the ones on highways. But in a grow room....1000w isnt going to cover any more area ;)

And I prove my point with links....not quoting my facts from them. But Thanks :D

Says you and your links. Too funny but I can understand you saying it's a FACT, right? Because YOU just know it from your...........um...........links.

More lumens in a smaller area yes. More area? I kindly lol @ you.

1000w bulbs can cover more area
oooooo oooooo a REAL fact stated. But then he goes back to his stupidity stating:

Just WOW. Awesome statement. More of your facts?

But in a grow room....1000w isnt going to cover any more area ;)
At least you winked. I thought for sure you had finally caught yourself with your foot up your ass. But I must have be mistaken. You couldn't stick your own foot up your ass without a link!!

Yes yes............links are much more proof worthy than personal experience. Please keep posting them................and I'll go on ignoring them :blsmoke:

Two 600's will not be good enough to cover the 10.5' length you have. Unless you use the movers to go lengthwise............but then you are hurting the width. I have the same size room as you and I have used both ways.

What link boy doesn't understand is the FACT that the 600 will be closer to the plants and will not be able to extend its good lumens over 3' - 4' wide. You will get great light in the middle 3' and crappy light on either side covering 1' each. This will hurt the growth of the side plants if you are going to be filling most of the room with pots.

If you only plan to use the middle of the room then the three 600's will work fine. If you plan on filling the whole room then you would either need two 1000 watts or three 600's that moves side to side to get all of the 5' area.

It all depends on the area you want to use. I speak from experience with the same exact space you have. I use the whole room and have tried both ways. When I used the 600's I had to exchange the outer and inner plants every day or they suffered from lack of light and low yield.

I'm only posting this to save you $$$$$ in the long run. Otherwise please do whatever you want.

haha well, for 10 feet go with 3 600's. you will have some spots in the room that arent getting as much light and even coverage with 2 1000 watters. or you can get the 2 1000 watters, grow a crop, then add another 1000 watter.

Depends on the hoods you use. I like 1000s with xxxl hoods. Great coverage and I can get the 1000w really close to canopy

Oh I quoted you exactly the way I wanted to. I needed to break it down for you so you could get it. You just couldn't understand it without me posting a link to dictionary.com.

Instead you posted a picture. How sweet :eyesmoke:

The OP asked for opinions. I gave him mine. You disagreed with me. Then posted links supporting your opinion. I then gave my personal experience. Who started what? Who trolled who?

Post more links and pictures. It suits your level of intelligence perfectly
