smoke report on Jack Herer! Man I'm so stoked about how well my jack turned out. I thought the white russian I was growing was hard to beat but it pales in comparison to jack. it has an awesome uplifting high and produces well also.


Strain: Jack Herer
Growth: it grows well a little on the stretchy side but not bad for a sativa though
Nutes: General hydro flora series expert program also liquid karma/silica blast
Yield: average 6 to 7 oz per plant
Bag Appeal: excellent a 10 in my book so many crystals it looks sopping wet
Smell: also a 10 a spicy fruity skunk smell very unique
Taste: it tastes as good as it smells very bold flavor
The High: very uplifting high makes you want to tare in to a project right after a bowl of lucky charms. probably the best sativa high I have ever smoked.
Comments: I have smoked alot of weed in my day and I have to say that this smoke is the most unique high I have ever had. my hats of to the breeder that put this combo together (Jack Herer would have been proud)

as far as topping the fim technique works the best by far ( super cropping doesnt work very well at all)

I've been smoking JH every day for the last 2 months, it's by far my favorite strain. Jack left me a little bonus in a nug, I found 4 seeds, 3 cracked soil but only 2 have survived and are growing well after a week.

I love this strain, I've also tried Skunky Jack and Platinum Jack. Anything with this strain is a great smoke, I'm working on mating one of my Jacks with my G13 clone to make XJ-13 :D

Interesting review. I bought some Jack Herer in Amsterdam and it was my least favorite smoke. I even found the high to be sort of a downer as well. I guess we had different phenos?

lol its like im readin my own future post lol im currently growin russian rocket fuel an was lookin at jack herer to grow next she sounds awesome she has a sister plant called jah herer which also sounds pretty nice an its easier to grow apparently lol

jack herer is right up there with my v2 other faves red dragon and white rhino.
a phenomenal buzz and juicy buds.

I found the same, jack herer in amsterdam was just like a bullett to the braina nd was a downer inn my opinion.

What was the flowering time, from the day you flipped 12/12?

i have a 3 week old jack on the go now
seeds from greenhouse seed co,
looks very indica dominant next to my skunk#1 & super skunk, i'm expecting it to be a heavy puff. cant fecking wait lol

It was defintely one of the most potent strains i smoked in a-dam, literally a bullet to my brain. So fucking zooted after. But i personally dont like that kinda high im more of a hashish guy who likes jamming and easy high that is quite simple (or atleast thats the hash i get)

Defintely reccomend Herer if you like being disabled to the point of only being able to move your eyeballs :)

hey bajafox - what light/conditions are you using for your grow? i am about to embark on my own JH journey, sourced also from greenhouse, and the babies have just gone under soil. my last crop of OB (feminised) from Dutch Passion (grrr) popped a boy who inseminated the rest. Not happy. Shoved them straight under the MH as babies, and can't help (like a bad parent that I am) wonder if by doing so I shocked one into losing her sexual identity - though I'm subsequently told DP are unreliable and their fem seeds often hermaphrodite. Anyone else got any tips for a good JH crop?

There is a link on my signature to my grow set up if you want to check it out. I'm using a 600w hps to flower, I'm currently setting up a veg tent. My oldest JH is about 17 days old from seed, I'm still a few months away from seeing any results

@homebrewer & growwww: sounds like you got the indica pheno if it was genuine jack.
apparently alot of coffeeshops sell inferior indicas under the jack label but 1 of the 4 phenos is a powerful indica so you may have had the real thing,

The sativa phenos are where jack herer truly shines though, but you wont find them for sale in the dam due to the longer flowering time and growers keeping it to themselves

I looked the strain up at several different seed banks and it's described as a sativa everywhere. That sucks as that is my preference and I wish I would've found the real stuff. Oh well, in the same trip I found some Crystal and found that to be more to my liking. I also wasn't buying product at the reputable shops like Barneys or Grey area, I was just going wherever thinking that it's all going to be the same. But just like with beer, it's not created equally. :lol:
