its spelled offense
And it's spelled 'it's' :)

Haven't tried pissing in my tea, but I did try tea using water scooped out of my koi pond (I'm sure a freshwater fish tank would work just the same). I'm not sure what kind of NPK values the fish piss/crap adds, but that tea foamed up more, and more quickly than ever when I put the airstone in it.

ya i was just about to say somthing about mexican farmers doing that. most of you are eating products that have been fertilized with human waste products.

No pathogens in urine, Urea is just another word for urine, and I'll bet I grow bigger plants with urine/compost tea than you can with any mass produced crap.
AHAHA....Obviously you can not know what a pathogen is. Urine contains no Pathogens eh? Funny. Here is the definition of "Pathogen"....Then you tell me if Urine has "Pathogens"...

A pathogen, (from Greek πάθος pathos "suffering, passion", and γἰγνομαι (γεν-) gignomai (gen-) "I give birth to") an infectious agent, or more commonly germ, is a biological agent that causes disease to its host.[1][2] There are several substrates and pathways whereby pathogens can invade a host; the principal pathways have different episodic time frames, but soil contamination has the longest or most persistent potential for harboring a pathogen.

SEE THE PART OF SOIL CONTAMINATION......Right.......See why pee pee is no good for cannabis. Especially those that use soil, and value there "MicroHerd", otherwise known as Microbiological Life. Your soil needs such to thrive. Sorry if I was a bit harsh. I meant no disrespect.

Check this link out for more reasons to not pee pee on your girls/tea/garden....but in your toliet .

Maybe I'm misunderstanding, but doesn't that just say that soil is a good pathway for pathogens? So, basically, if urine did contain pathogens, then soil would be a good delivery system for them. I don't see any reference about urine actually containing those pathogens. I've always heard that urine is actually sterile.
I don't know. I don't pee in my tea, and don't plan on it... so I'm not sure why I'm even defending it. I guess that last post just didn't make sense to me.

"Soil Contamination has the longest or most persistent potential for harboring a pathogen" The fact that soil is a good pathway for them is not a good thing brotha! Not just because of soil contamination, but for what it does to your "MicroHerd" of Microbiological Life within your soil. :)

There is NO IF about it. Yes urine is sterile until it hits your urethra. Some basic googling will show this.

Well, you got me curious. Typing 'is urine sterile', google suggested 'is urine sterile as it passes from your body'. First result basically says that it's pretty much sterile unless you have some sort of infection. The thing is, I'd assume that any pathogen that comes from your body (however unlikely) would not be something that is contagious to plants or organisms in the soil anyway, and the pathogen would just die off without a host (another human).

Now, if you somehow got some plant or soil microbe disease stuck in your penis, then you might need to worry about passing it on. Anyway, like I said, I have no stake in this, so I'll just leave it at agreeing to disagree. You think it could be dangerous to microbes or plants and I don't. Even so, I'm going to stick with seaweed, earthworm poop, and bat crap in my tea... no piss for me.

Well, for some reason, when I type in " is urine sterile"...I get wikipedia where it states and shows how and when it is, and is'nt sterile. Pathogens are germs. I hope you dont believe pathogens are few and far between, both in, and on humans. Yes, they are things that are "contagious" ( not accurate....poisonious is) to both your plant and the organism in the soil. The organism in the soil, dont want human pathogens. They dont get along in harmony. Pathogens, like humans, adapt very well. Actually, pathogens adapt way better than humans. Just because a pathogen from a human ( you actual state that humans NOW DO have pathogens) doesnt go directly to another human, will "die off"....I guess the next time some one sneezes in your face, you have nothing to worry about when those pathogens die off the minute they hit air.

The pathogens inside of Humans, are "disease" like to soil organism. I dont "think" it is. Science is factual. Science proves it "is". I have no desire to make false claims. If I dont know something, I am okay with admitting it. I am happy to see you choose not to use pee pee in your soil. I personal was going to suggest that everyone is intitled to an opinion and interuptation of the sciences. Take or leave it for what it is worth to you. I promise, in choosing not to pee pee in your soil, you are doing yourself a plus.

No, not at all. I'm sure germs are all over the place.

Well, I never was saying that humans don't have pathogens in them or on them... just that what I read was that urine is sterile unless you have an infection. So it's unlikely that you'll be pissing pathogens.
I also didn't say that pathogens die immediately after leaving the body. Someone sneezing in your face is VERY different from germs leaving your body through piss (again, unlikely), going into plant tissue, infecting them, making them sick, or living in them long enough to re-infect humans when the plant is smoked. I'm no expert, but I'm very doubtful of things that infect humans also being able to infect plants.

Well, I respect everyones right to interpritation. I, like your self, am not an expert. I am just a botanist ( plant biology), which is certianly different from plant cultivation ( agriculture). However, even with a degree, I am far from an expert, and I certianly dont have all the right awnsers.

I do wish to state that, every human, when urinating, is releasing pathogens of all assortments. I certianly dont believe that everyone of those is going to infect, and hinder plant growth. I do, however, believe that it is doing harm to your MicroHerd, everytime soil is contaiminated with human urine.

Sorry, but I agree that it isn't a good idea. Many Pathogens can be transferred not to mention chemicals and medications that render your grow, non organic.

Lol thats bull shit you don't know what ur talkin about, You may or may not spread harmful bacteria to your plants, but that shit is completely organic. For all the bull shit companys are tossing around about organic nutrients, urine is just as organic as anyone of those. You could smoke a bag of meth and have your piss be just as organic as anything from AN. Organic means anything that goes through the breakdown process, or as Jorge said, has a carbon molecule. By break down process I mean simply being converted into soluble nutrients. In other words much of what is in organic nutrients was simply fed something synthetic. Not to drag this on any longer, but holy shittt @ this. today i was brewing some tea and i took out the strainer bag with all the remains of the worms castings. The shit that is left is like borderline plastic, basically all man made products, all different colors too like red, blue, yellow, green etc. It's ridiculous to think that's what you get when you buy a bag of Organic Earth worm castings.

Well thats kinda weird in todays society. However I hear yah! Leave out the pee and get some Urea nitrogen based product to make up for it.
Now that's a rather ignorant statement as the vast majority of Urea nitrogen is collected from cow bladders in slaughter houses. So, free human urine, or pay for dried cow urine....Uh...Duh... I'll choose ...Duh...free? Keep doing what you're doing man. I use urine by pissing on my compost pile which I then convert to tea, and here are my results, so you keep using urine and ignore those too closed minded to recognize the value.

Oh, and as to pathogens in human urine, I have it on professional horticulturist's authority that there just are no human bourne pathogens ( in urine ) that stand a chance in hell against the assorted beasties present in organic soil.

And much better way to get worm castings into soil is to just add a few worms to each plant. Of course this means you have to remain organic or kill your worms.

iv used piss on my first grow and i must say that the results are visible. My plant went from crap and light green coulred to a nice dark coulour green instead and growth has improved:)I think its each to thier own on this one. But either way whats the big difference between bats shit and piss or anyother animals compared to ours. Just as long it doesnt smell like piss when i light it its all gooooood!
