When do males become dangerous in grow room?

Hi Everyone. I'm on my first grow and my plants have been in veg for 50 days. I have started to get preflowers and I think I have a male... but I am not completely sure yet. At what stage in their development does pollen form? While the plants are vegging is any pollen able to get airborn?

I know... but I'm not completely sure yet..the preflowrs on the potential male are very small, so I'm not completely convinced (like 40% right now).

So I guess I just need to know is it a problem having him in the grow room during veg with a confirmed lady?

I beleive 10 days from when they showed sex would be the best answer to your question. however, It is rumored that a male can polinate a crop in only hours. 10 days is the general rule of thumb a lot of people go with to be sure, you should isolate potential males or at the least seperate them

Got to be careful where you move them too. Pollen can travel far distances and different rooms are no hassle.

Question though; By putting a humidity dome around individal plants. Could that stop potential pollen until sex is classified?

I don't plan on keeping the potential male... I'm going to set him on fire. :fire:

RE: Humidity domes... the humidity it would create wouldn't be good for the plant.... and they probably aren't made large enough anyway (my plants are in 5 gal pots and are 21" tall from the top of the pot... that would have to be one big dome!
